Aims of the Project•To raise the skill and competence level of Nursery Nurses, Teaching Assistants and Teachers in relation to language and communication needs
•Accredited 2 year course for Teaching Assistant/Nursery Nurse with York St John University

Since 2001•Over 60 primary schools and 2 secondary schools trained in 6 partnerships

2007-2009•12 primary schools from across the county invited to take part, based on Foundation Stage Profile and KS 1 results

•Transformation funding – Area SENCos
•Multi-agency programme of support for language development from 0-7 years
