During the meeting, Port Blair, April 11 The State Bank of India, Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) Port Blair is going to conduct free dress designing and toys making courses for unemployed women of A & N Islands in the month of May 2017. It will also issue the course certificate for availing the Bank loan in the future. Interested and prospective candidates Implementation of Kharif & Rabi Meeting of State Level Coordination Committee on Crop Insurance held various issues on the agenda points were discussed and decision on area & crop notifications, fixation of farmers premium rate and sum insured, publicity and awareness, and fixing of indemnity level etc were unanimously taken by the committee for effective implementation of the scheme according to its operational guidelines issued by the Govt. of India. All Gram Panchayats of these Islands have been notified for Paddy under Kharif, 2017 and 21 Gram Panchayats of North & Middle Andaman have been notified for Pulses during Rabi, 2017-18. Vegetable crops viz bhindi, lobia, brinjal and tomato, fruits viz banana have been notified in all the 70 Gram Pachayats and the exotic vegetables are covered in all 14 Gram Panchayats of Diglipur Tehsil and 4 Gram Dress designing, toys making course for unemployed women have been asked to contact Faculties, S/Shri P Kaliswaran, (9434265027), Naveen (9933246046) and Office Assistant Shri B Sridhar (9679503799) for furhet details. New Delhi, Apr 11 President Shri Pranab Mukherjee has said India could be an attractive option for long term investment for Australia. He said, the 'Make in India' Conference and Invest in India Conference programmes have been designed for enhancing economic cooperation and investments. President Shri Mukherjee told Australian Prime Minister Mr Malcolm Turnbull who called on him at the Rashtrapati Bhawan last evening that India is keen to ramp up the nuclear energy component in total energy mix plans to enhance the use of clean India could be an attractive option for long term investment for Australia: President energy and save fossil fuels. He said India sees a key role for Australian uranium supplies in this process and also appreciates Australia's efforts in this direction. New Delhi, Apr 11 India today strongly condemning Pakistan Court's verdict sentencing former Indian Navy Officer Kulbhushan Yadav to death asserted the government will do whatever possible to give justice to Jadhav. Replying to the issue in the Lok Sabha during Question Hour, Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh said the basic norms of Law and Justice India strongly condemns Pak Court's verdict sentencing Kulbhushan Yadav to death have been violated in Jadhav's case. He said India's request, basic consular access has been denied to Jadhav several times. The Home Minister said after Pakistan security agencies kidnapped Jadhav, he was presented before media there and shown he was having a valid Indian passport. Shri Singh wondered if a person was having valid Indian passport, how can he be a spy. The Home Minister echoing the sentiments of the entire House said the action of the Pakistan is a sinister design. Earlier, cutting across party lines, all the leaders demanded that Kulbhushan should be brought back to country and said Pakistan should be exposed internationally. If you can do just one thing well, you're needed by someone", stands true for one such outstanding parasports person from Isles, G. Dillaswar Rao, who has won medals in National & International Paralympic Sports meet and also represented India in the Asian Paralympic Games in Gonzuha, China. Speaking to 'The Daily Telegrams', Shri Rao, a resident of Haddo, who is currently on a visit to these Islands from Bhubaneswar said, he was attracted to badminton, despite being polio affected, when he was a class 11 student at Nirmala School. Since his father was employed in Coast Guard, he had the opportunity to practice in Coast Guard Sports Complex at Panipat Road, Haddo, said the badminton buff. Dillaswar to represent India in 'Para Badminton Championship' 2017 at Thailand Naval War College shared their views with the audience. Besides broadening the horizons on strategic issues and improving the awareness, the seminar was especially beneficial for the junior level leadership by exposing them to strategic matters and kindling inquisitiveness among them, a communication from the PRO, ANC said here today. Recalling his first achievement, Dillaswar said he got a silver medal in singles and doubles matches in the U- 16 State level tournament representing Nirmala School. He was elated to see the medal. Sharing his heartbreaking journey, Dillaswar said, he was not allowed to play being a polio affected person. This episode saddened him but from there, he learnt about para sports for persons with physical disabilities and from then on, nothing could dampen his spirit. After completing 12th, he did his Engineering from a college in Bhubaneswar where he continued practicing Badminton. His hard work paid off, when for the first time, he participated in National Paralympic Sports meet New Delhi, Apr 11 To improve the ease of doing business for newly incorporated companies, Central Board of Direct Taxes has tied up with Ministry of Corporate Affairs to issue Permanent Account Number and Tax Deduction Account Number in one day. According to an official release, applicant companies submit a common application form on MCA portal and once the data of incorporation is CBDT allots PAN and TAN in a day for ease of doing business sent to CBDT by MCA, the PAN and TAN are issued immediately without any further intervention of the applicant. Till 31st March 2017, 19,704 newly incorporated companies were allotted PAN in this manner. During March, 2017, of the 10,894 newly incorporated companies, PAN was allotted within 4 hours in 95.63 percent cases and within 1 day in all cases. Govt to launch scheme SAMPADA for food processing New Delhi, Apr 11 The government will soon launch a scheme SAMPADA for food processing sector to integrate current and new schemes aimed at reducing food wastage and doubling farmers' income. Briefing reporters in New Delhi today, Food Processing Minister Ms Harsimrat Kaur Badal said, the 'Scheme for Agro- Marine Produce Processing and Development of Agro- Processing Clusters (SAMPADA) with an outlay of six thousand crore rupees would be implemented by 2019-20. The Minister said, it will include ongoing schemes like mega food parks and cold chain projects. Ms Badal said the government is taking steps to boost food processing sector as part of its objective to bring down post harvest losses preferably to zero level, provide quality food to consumers at cheaper price and for doubling of farmers' income. The quotations completed in all respect alongwith copy of PAN Card and documents testifying to be either a manufacturer

or authorized dealer of the items, superscribing “supply and installation of CCTV cameras alongwith the requisite poles other items” on the envelope should be placed in the Tender Box kept in Directorate of Social Welfare, Port Blair upto 03.00 PM on

19/04/2017 and the same shall be opened by the Purchase Committee on the same day at 03.30 PM in the presence of quotationers or their authorized representatives, if any present. Tender document with format of rate to be quoted with all terms and conditions

can also be downloaded from Administration’s website www.and.nic.in

Terms and conditions: 1. L1 will be decided on grand total for all items as indicated in the tender from Sl. No. 1 to 13 above. 2. The rates will be valid for a period of one year, which can be extended for another one year on same rates, terms & conditions, subject to satisfactory performance.

3. EMD of Rs. 22,500/- (Rupees Twenty two thousand five hundred only ) in the form of Account Payee FDR, bankers cheque

drawn from any Commercial Bank in favor of Assistant Account Officer, Directorate of Social Welfare Port Blair should be enclosed alongwith the quotation. Incomplete Quotation / Quotation without EMD shall be summarily rejected. 4. Quotation received after due date and time shall not be accepted.

5. The tenderers should quote only one rate against each item mentioned in the list of items. Multiple rates for each item would not be considered and overwriting while quoting rates for item would not be accepted & will be rejected.

6. The rates quoted should be F.O.R destinations inclusive of material cost, labour cost & transportation cost, duty cost, levies, VAT, transit insurance tax, loading-unloading tax, entry tax and octroi tax & with all other applicable taxes, if any.

7. The material should be as per specification and of good quality. 8. The period of warranty for the above items should clearly be mentioned in the bid document.

9. The venders should enclose manufacture’s authorization letter/dealership certificate for the relevant CCTV Surveillance systems with their quotation, if not produce the same will be rejected.

10. The vendors should have a back to back support from the OEM of the CCTV Surveillance systems and should be equipped with after sales service centres. A certificate from OEM to be submitted in this effect, if not produce the same will be rejected. 11. The vendor should enclose requisite certificate, if any for undertaking the job such as trade/manufacturing license, Income Tax, Sales Tax Registration Certificate. The vendor shall comply with all labour laws & take necessary registration certificate

etc. from Labour Department.

12. The system offered should confirm to the technical specifications as per tender. The The Director (Social Welfare) reserves

right to decide to carryout testing of CCTV Surveillance Systems at site after installation at the cost of vendor through vendor’s personnel in the presence of Technical Official(s). If at the time of testing, it is found that the performance is not upto the satisfaction of the Director (Social Welfare) reserves the right to reject all such tenderers/quotations.

13. The tenderers should have experience of minimum 2 years for supply/installation & AMC of CCTVs, which should be

supplied by documentary proof. 14. An amount of performance Security @ 10% of the value of the contract will be obtained from the successful bidder

awarded the contract and the same will be retained till completion of the contract. 15. The tenderers should supply the items alongwith the necessary Poles and the installation work should be completed within

21 days from the date of receipt of supply / work order. In the event of non-supply of items with the stipulated time period, liquidity damage of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) per day will be levied on the tender on each day beyond the date of

supply time given in the condition of the supply order, subject to a maximum of 10 % of order value, beyond which the Performance Security will be forfeited.

16. The Director (Social Welfare) reserves the right to accept or reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason thereof. 17. All the consumable, spares during warranty period, if required to be replaced should be done free of cost. During the AMC

period the firm should be able to supply spares, consumables/non-consumables, free of cost.

18. The branch offered should have a presence in India for a period not less than 5 years. 19. The security deposit/ performance guarantee will be required to be furnished within two weeks of issue of the supply order

by way of fixed deposit receipt, pay order or in the form of Bank guarantee from a commercial bank in favour of Assistant Accounts Officer, Directorate of Social Welfare, Port Blair. 20. "My selection in Asian Para Games 2010 in Guangzhou in China where I reached

quarterfinals was the happiest moment in my life", said Dillaswar. Presently, he is

concentrating on Para Badminton Championship to be held in Thailand in the month

of June, 2017. He has been selected by SAI to represent India and is being groomed by

Shri SP Das, Coach Odisha Para Badminton team. He practices for 8 hours a day to

give his best. Para Sports is still in its infancy but after Rio Paralympics there has been

some changes in viewing these sports, says Dillaswar Rao.

According to him, students should take up both education and sports collectively.

"People feel education is the only way for a better career but that there is lot of scope in

a career in sports for which greater awareness is required among the youth of these

Islands", remarked Dillaswar. He dreams of returning to Isles to create awareness and

open a Badminton Academy for training budding Badminton talents, especially the

children with special needs.

More opportunities must be provided to the players from these Islands to play National

level competitions for more exposure, adds Dillaswar. "Never say die attitude and

passion coupled with perseverance to achieve success will take a person to greater

heights", reiterated the confident Dillaswar. At the National level, he won Silver medal

in both singles and doubles event in 5th All India Super Six Badminton Tournament for

Challenged held at Madurai, Tamil Nadu, Silver medal in both singles event and gold

medal in doubles event in 6th All India Super Six Badminton Tournament for Challenged

- 2010, NALCO, Angul, Orissa. He has also won Gold medal in doubles event in 7th All

India Super Six Badminton Tournament for challenged, 2011, held at NALCO, Angul,

Orissa and Bronze Medal in Men's Doubles Event at National Badminton

Championships conducted by Badminton Association of India (BAI) at Bangalore from

24 - 26 March 2017.

In his message to the youth, he says that with determination one should follow one's

passion which will surely lead to success. Dillaswar's father is employed in Coast

Guard while his mother Yasoda is a homemaker.

The CBDT's initiative in starting of a business is expected

to significantly improve the ranking of India in the ease

of doing business study conducted by World Bank by

reducing the number of processes of registration before

for allotment of the registration number and making the

entire registration process for new companies much

simpler.

CBDT has also introduced E-PAN which is sent by email,

in addition to issue of the physical PAN card, to all

applicants including individuals where PAN is allotted.

Assistant Directors of various zones shall be the Nodal Officer for implementing the
