Y. School Attorney

a. Labor Services

Be it resolved that the Board of Education appoint Girvin & Ferlazzo, PC in

Albany, NY to serve as School Attorney for this District from 7/1/20 to 6/30/21

for a retainer fee of $15,000 to cover mediation, fact-finding, super-conciliation,

grievance processing, arbitration (excluding just cause), improper practice

proceedings (including conferences, but not hearings or appeals to the PERB

Board), and day-to-day advice on all matters respecting these collective

bargaining units.

b. Incidental School Business

Be it resolved that the Board of Education appoint Girvin & Ferlazzo, PC in

Albany, NY to serve as School Attorney for this District from 7/1/20 to 6/30/21

for a retainer fee of $15,000 to provide legal advice on all matters incidental to

school district business (ecept labor relations, special education issues, building

projects including bond and note financing, and litigation). The retainer fee will

cover 120 hours of service for the 2020 – 2021 school year as set forth within the

fee agreement.

KK. TRANSPORTATION MILEAGE FOR EXTERNAL LEASE AGREEMENTS


Education to establish the following transportation mileage rate of $3.50 per mile,

and $31.50 per hour wait time, for external lease agreements, at the discretion of the

district, for the 2020 – 2021 fiscal year.

LL. ELIGIBILITY OF TUITION FREE STUDENT ENROLLMENT

Be it resolved that the Board of Education of the Taconic Hills Central School District

hereby designates the Superintendent of Schools as the representative of the District to

make all determinations regarding the eligibility of students to enroll, on a tuition free basis,

in the schools of the District. This designation affords the Superintendent all rights and

responsibilities pursuant to Part 100.2(y) of the regulations of the Commissioner of

Education.

MM. WORKERS COMPENSATION BOARD REPRESENTATIVE

Be it resolved that the Board of Education recommends to the Board of Education to

appoint the Assistant Superintendent for Business as the designee to represent the District

on the Workers Compensation Board effective July 1, 2020, at no cost to the District.
