Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog EntriesStud Dog Class - Will be for Stud Dog and two of their Get. Stud Dog must be entered in the Stud Dog Classand must be shown in the ring with their Get. Owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of Get.Get only to be judged based on the merits of the Get. Get must be entered in one of the Regular Classes.While the merits of the Stud Dog are not be be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog mustbe examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the DogShow Rules, AKC policy or the Standard for its breed.

Brood Bitch Class - Same as the Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce forGet. As the judge's decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch Classes will be based on the merits of more thanone dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligiblefor Best of Breed by virtue of having won these classes.

GRCA SWEEPSTAKES GUIDELINESHANDLER: The handler of a Sweepstakes exhibit must be either the owner, co-owner, breeder or memberof their immediate family as they are listed on file with the American Kennel Club as of the closing date forthe show for which the Sweepstakes entry is being made. Immediate family is defined as husband, wife, mother,father, brother, sister, son, daughter or legal domestic partner. Stepchildren and legal wards are also includedin this definition. In-laws and grandchildren are not considered to be immediate family members. No otherindividuals may take the entry into the ring during judging or check-in.

The following individuals are excluded from showing an exhibit in sweepstakes unless they are the sole ownerregistered with the AKC or co-own the entry with a member of their immediate family (as defined above) ora legal domestic partner:

!Any individual listed as an agent on any dog in any regular or non-regular class at this or any othershow in the previous two years.!Any individual with an Agent number including, but not limited to an AKC Registered Handler Number or Professional Handlers Association (PHA) number.

To avoid confusion or question, it is recommended that a photocopy of the registration certificate be includedwith the entry for a co-owned exhibit.Best in Sweepstakes Class: It is required that the same person who showed the dog to a first place in aSweepstakes class will also show the dog in the Best is Sweeps class. However, if that person should havemore than one dog in the Best in Sweepstakes class, someone else is permitted to show the additional winner.That person should meet the handler definitions above. Only in cases where there is not another owner, co-owner, breeder or co-breeder or immediate family member available, should another person take the doginto the Best in Sweeps class. It is understood that there would be no financial benefit to that individual. Individuals who have an AKC Handler number, a PHA number or are listed as an agent on any dog in theregular or non-regular classes may not show a sweepstakes entrant unless they are the sole owner registeredwith the AKC or co-own the entry with a member of their immediate family (as defined above) or a legaldomestic partner.

Puppy Sweepstakes is open to all purebred Golden Retriever puppies six (6) months of age and under eighteen(18) months of age on the day of the show. Each entrant must also be entered in a Regular Class at thisshow. Indicate Sweepstakes on the regular entry form in the space for "additional classes" and state age.AKC Champions of Record are not eligible.

The following classes will be offered for both dogs & bitches:Puppy, 6 months and under 9 months Junior, 12 months and under 15 monthsPuppy, 9 months and under 12 months Junior, 15 months and under 18 months

Bring your Beginner Puppy (4-6 months of age) to the Hudson Valley Golden Retriever ClubShow on Friday, June 7, 2019.

Four to Six Month Special Attraction (AKC Sanctioned)The Four-to-Six Month Beginner Puppy competition shall be for dogs and bitches that are fourmonths and under six months of age on the day of the event. AKC registration number or an AKClitter number will be required for entries. Professional handles are not permitted to exhibit in thisclass. Professional handles are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to aprofessional handlers' organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or representedthemselves as handling dogs for pay.Dogs must be four months of age and under six months. Dogs are required to be vaccinated inaccordance with their veterinarian's protocol in order to avoid inadvertent transmission of illnessby/to puppies not yet fully immunized. AKC Rules in Dealing with Misconduct will be applicable toany person and dog entered at this competition. All applicable rules found in Rules Applying toDog Shows will govern the conduct of this competition unless these regulations state otherwise.Exhibitors should plan on opening the mouth of their puppy for the judges. The morning Specialty Show will be held in conjunction with the Taconic Hills Kennel Club, Inc.All-Breed Show. Taconic Hills KC offers competition for Best Veteran in Show on Friday, June 7, 2019. This is a special attractionand veterans entered for this competition are judged after Best of Breed. Both intact and neutered veteransare eligible for this competition.

Because the entry of Golden Retrievers is also a designated specialty at the Taconic Hills KC all breed showon June 7, 2019, there is a non-regular class offered for veterans wishing to compete for Best of Breed. Onlyintact veterans are eligible for this non-regular class, the winner of which will go on to compete for Best ofBreed.

If a veteran is intact and wishes to compete for Best of Breed, clearly mark on the top of the entry form BESTOF BREED ELIGIBLE.

If a veteran, intact or neutered, is competing for Best Veteran in Show, clearly mark at the top of the entryform ENTRY FOR BEST VETERAN IN SHOW.

If a veteran is to be entered in both competitions, two entries are required.

GOLDEN RETRIEVER VETERANS ENTERED IN AFTERNOON, CONCURRENT SPECIALTYVeteran Golden Retrievers, whether intact or neutered, are eligible to compete for Best in Specialty Showat the afternoon specialty. No special distinction needs to be made on the entry form for the afternoon concurrentspecialty.

Sweepstakes and Veteran Sweepstakes are offered on Friday between the AM and PM judging of GoldenRetrievers.

4-6 Month Beginner Puppy will be offered immediately following the Sweepstakes judging on Friday.

Additional Information:! This is an outdoor show. Golden Retrievers will be shown in a corner ring. There will be a

"Goldens Only" tent for grooming, crating and hospitality. The tent will be located near the ringthe Goldens will be shown in for easy ring access. Please keep the grooming and crating areaclean of debris.

RV / CAMPER RESERVATIONS

Overnight RV/Camper parking is by permit only. You will not be permitted on the groundswithout proof of payment. Parking attendants will have a master payment list and willdirect you to your spot. Ú NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS ÚENTRY FEE: See Page 16 for fees. CLOSING DATE for entries 12:00 NOON, Wednesday, May 22, 2019 (at Superintendent's Office) after which

entries cannot be accepted, cancelled or substituted except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 ofthe Dog Show Rules.

THE SHOW will be open from 8:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M.An AKC RECORDING FEE of $.50 and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each dog entered

at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. If a dog is entered in more than oneclass in one of these events, the AKC Recording Fee and Service Fee is to be collected on the first entry only.(AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 2). An AKC Recording Fee of $3.00 will be requiredfor each entry in any Lincesed or Member Club Rally Trial. If a dog is entered in more than one class in a Rallyevent, the AKC Recording Fee is to be collected on each of the entries of that dog. (AKC Rally Regulations, Chapter1, Section 3). All Recording Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club.

RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Superintendent will add a $20.00 collection fee tothe amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitors may result in theirbeing put on a CASH ONLY basis.

CANADIAN EXHIBITORS make fees payable in U.S. FUNDS.NO ENTRY SHALL BE MADE AND NO ENTRY SHALL BE ACCEPTED WHICH SPECIFIES ANY

CONDITIONS AS TO ITS ACCEPTANCE.ENTRY FEES shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian

or Judge, or barred from competition by action of Show Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbancesor other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the show, norefund of entry fee will be made.

ERRORS ON ENTRY BLANKS. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever maymake such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries afterthe published closing date.

NO REFUND FOR DUPLICATE ENTRIES. We will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, butif a dog has been processed, no refund will be made.

CONSULT JUDGING PROGRAM FOR TIME OF JUDGING.DOGS MAY ARRIVE any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. DOGS NOT REQUIRED for further

judging will be excused.JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANY DOG HOLDING UP A CLASS. Owners or agents alone are respon-sible

for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. The show-givingclub and the Superintendent have no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public addresssystem or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ringwhen required.

ALL DOGS PRESENT must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or whenin the exercising ring.

THE SHOW COMMITTEE/SUPERINTENDENT will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs andexhibitors, but will not be responsible for, nor assume any liability in the event of an accident or misfortuneto either dogs or exhibitors participating in this show.

NO GASOLINE OR DIESEL GENERATORS are permitted inside any building or within 100 feet of any tentin which this dog show is conducted.

Effective May 1, 2006 an administrative fee of $2.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelledprior to the closing of entries. To find out about any AKC event cancellations call the AKC Event Cancellation Hotline 877-252-3229.Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians' recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and externalparasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations. Effective January 1, 2009 - Refund and Cash award checks are void after 180 days and will NOT be re-issued.
