    3.4.3 Rules and guideline

    Chat Rules and Guidelines

We assume good faith when dealing with violations; we will only warn or ban users who repeatedly or blatantly violate the rules.

Administrators have the final say in modifying, interpreting, and enforcing these rules.

Note: If you observe someone breaking a rule or behaving in a questionable fashion, do not try to deal with it yourself. Alert a chat moderator or administrator.

    Subjects covered in the chat

Posts in the chat must be either questions about the use of products and the use of the service or else answers to those questions. Users who post about subjects that are not support requests for the use of Copernicus Marine Service products or the Jupyter Notebooks practice will be directed to an alternative discussion chat or to another resource, if appropriate, and the question will be tagged "offtopic".

    Posting support requests

Ask your question using existing public channels, even if a similar question has been already posted.

The chat is a way for us to collect frequently asked questions. The Copernicus Marine Experts reserve the right to directly answer questions on the chat or keep their answer for the debriefing live session.

    Spam

Users who post spam will have their posts removed. If a post that is otherwise appropriate includes links considered to be spam, those links will be removed.

    Images and other media

You can add images, such as a "screenshot" of your computer screen. Images or other media added to a support question must help explain a problem with a Copernicus Marine Service product in the scope of the online training workshop content or a solution to the problem. Inappropriate media will be removed.

    Sensitive information

    Don't post any sensitive information.

    Language and conduct

Respect each other. Respect the experts.

    Use a respectful language.

    No toxic behavior. Be friendly.

    Do not spread misinformation.

    Do not share inappropriate content
