Keep saving Box Tops for the next contest! STUDENT COUNCIL OFFICERS & CLASS REPRESENTATIVES - Our students in grades 5 - 8 voted on Tuesday to elect the Student Council positions. The following students were chosen to serve for the 2018-19 school year. Congratulations! POINSETTIA, PORCH POT, WREATH & GARLAND SALE - Orders are due Friday, November 16 with payment due December 14. Forms were sent home last Friday. This is a great fundraiser for grades 1 - 7 to earn funds for their 8th grade Washington DC trip. WINTER DRESS - Remember to send your students with snow pants, boots and gloves for outdoor recess. THANKSGIVING BREAK and WORSHIP SCHEDULE - Wednesday, November 21 is a half day of school with dismissal at 11:30 am. Childcare and Latchkey will be open until 6:00 pm. Remember to send a lunch with your child if they are staying after school. School and childcare are closed Thursday and Friday, November 22 & 23. You are welcome to join us for Thanksgiving worship on Wednesday, November 21 at 7:00 pm or Thursday, November 22 at 10:00 am. NOVEMBER & DECEMBER CHAPEL OFFERINGS support our church food pantry. We collect non-perishable food items, paper products and toiletries for Christmas baskets that are put together for the needy in our community. Monetary donations are greatly appreciated also.

THE 1ST QUARTER of the 2018-19 School Year ended November 2. Report cards will be sent home Monday, November 12.

ADVENT by CANDLELIGHT for women and young ladies will be celebrated at St. Paul on Sunday, December 2, 2-4:00 pm. Watch for more details.

SCRIP News - Buying SCRIP is a great way to earn funds for Child Care, Washington, D.C. trip and Education Fees. Some families have earned hundreds of dollars just by buy SCRIP for things they normally purchase - gas, food, gifts, etc. SCRIP offers hundreds of cards, many of which are re-loadable and available as e-cards. Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club is now reloadable!You can check it out at shopwithscrip.com or stop in the office and inquire. In order for your credit to go to your account, you will need to get St. Paul’s code number to shop online. The next SCRIP order will b e o n M o n d a y, D e c e m b e r 3 . G o t o shopwithscrip.com to see the choices of cards and their rebates. Email the school office - [email protected] and they will email you the directions to set up your account.

OUR STAFF PRAYS each morning during devotions for four of our students and staff. They a r e a l s o p r a y e d f o r d u r i n g m o r n i n g announcements.

This week we prayed for: Monday - Emily Allison, Miss Oberman, Mr. Cooley, Elliott Johnson; Tuesday - Rowan Rosenmund, Pastor Walsh, Deonna Hall, Jackson Jansen van Galen; Thursday - Marc McKenney, Mrs. Cain, Emily Montpas, Eric Lewis III; Friday - Zion Robinson, Mr. Smith, D’Mitri Russell, Maddox Burba.Next week we will pray for: Monday - Ava Lason, Kailey King, Arya Bodary, Mr. Simpson; Tuesday - Natalie Grim, Blythe Butler, Mrs. Seibt, Leo Robinson III; Thursday - Jacob Schlieger, Mrs. Seales, JonMonet Hodge, Mrs. Walsh; Friday - Gabrielle Hairston, Ahriah Bradley, Mrs. Grim, Elijah Mitchell.

ST. PAUL CHRISTMAS SHOP. The shop will be open in the Dorcas room for students to purchase handmade gifts on Friday, December 7. Adults may shop when the children are finished. It will also be open on Sunday, December 9 before and after worship.

Crafters are welcome to bring in handmade items. The school uses 15% of the profit to help with food and Christmas gifts for people in need in our community. Crafters receive 85% of the profit.

Volunteers will be needed to work in the shop during set-up on Thursday afternoon, December 6 and when the children shop on Friday to assist with shopping and wrapping.

WATCH FOR INFORMATION regarding a L.E.A.P. Camp 5.0 starting at St. Paul on Wednesday, January 16 - March 27, 2019, 3:30-6:30. This is a Learn, Earn and Play Youth Development Program for students in grades Kindergarten through Eight sponsored by the Lomus Brown Foundation, YMCA of Greater Flint and Michigan District Zone 9 Optimist Clubs.
