Council of Catholic Women
Join us the third Tuesday of each month, September thru May for Mass at 7:00 P.M., followed by a 7:30 P.M. meeting and light refreshments.
Are you registered in the parish? Please do not take for granted that you are registered in the parish just because you attend mass here. If we have no record of your parish membership it could be quite embarrassing to us, or to you or your family, when some-one wishes to make wedding plans, have a baby baptized, or if you have been asked to act as a sponsor for baptism or confirmation. Please fill out a census form, which is located at the entrances of the Multi Celebrational Building (MCB), and mail it to the parish office.
Baptism
Baptisms are celebrated on Sunday after the 12:00 Noon Mass. Parents must be registered and active members of the parish for at least three months. No confirmed dates are given before approval by the pastor. Contact the parish office two months in advance. Godparents must be confirmed, practicing, Roman Catholics and must obtain a sponsor certificate from their parish. In order to avoid disappointments, do not book travel plans with family, Godparents, etc. until a confirmed date has been assigned through the parish office (561) 966-8878.
Marriages
Notify the parish office at least four months in advance.
Ministrations to the Sick
We appreciate knowing when a parishioner is in the hospital or homebound. Please call the parish office.
FRUIT OF THE WORD
The seed is the word of God. The agricultural metaphors in all of today's readings give richness to the message that the word of God, cultivated in our hearts, bears much fruit in our lives. Creation itself awaits the redemption of all, even as our bodies await the resurrection. Just as we will rejoice in the fulfillment of God's word, so will all of creation sing for joy in the Reign of God. The word of God is effective and holy; it brings about exactly what it says. It is not futile or empty, but rich in meaning for those who hear and are healed. Those who hear the word of God and keep it will, with all creation, bear much fruit and sing for joy.
My word will achieve the end for which it was sent (Isaiah 55:10-11)
The seed that falls on good ground will yield a fruitful harvest (Psalm 65)
We, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan within ourselves awaiting the redemption of our bodies
(Romans 8:18-23)
Some seed fell on rich soil and produced fruit (Matthew 13:1-23 [1-9])

CCD Teachers and Aides Needed
The CCD program is of vital importance for the children of our Parish. This program not only prepares them to receive Sacraments, Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation) it instructs them in the three pillars of Christianity: Prayer, Penance and almsgiving. It instructs them in the history, traditions and practices of our faith. It prepares them to be lov-ing, moral and productive leaders of our community.
The children ARE our future. We are honored to be a part of their Christian Formation.
The CCD program needs teachers, aides and substi-tutes. You can commit to as much or as little time as you have available.
Please pray about becoming involved with the CCD program. Is this the Ministry where God is sending your heart?
If you are interested, or for more information, please call Debbie at 561-966-1538.
