Join us the third Tuesday of each month, September thru May for Mass at 7:00 P.M., followed by a 7:30 P.M. meeting and light refreshments.
Are you registered in the parish? Please do not take for granted that you are registered in the parish just because you attend mass here. If we have no record of your parish membership it could be quite embarrassing to us, or to you or your family, when some-one wishes to make wedding plans, have a baby baptized, or if you have been asked to act as a sponsor for baptism or confirmation. Please fill out a census form, which is located at the entrances of the Multi Celebrational Building (MCB), and mail it to the parish office.
Baptism
Baptisms are celebrated on Sunday after the 12:00 Noon Mass. Parents must be registered and active members of the parish for at least three months. No confirmed dates are given before approval by the pastor. Contact the parish office two months in advance. Godparents must be confirmed, practicing, Roman Catholics and must obtain a sponsor certificate from their parish. In order to avoid disappointments, do not book travel plans with family, Godparents, etc. until a confirmed date has been assigned through the parish office (561) 966-8878.
Marriages
Notify the parish office at least four months in advance.
Ministrations to the Sick
We appreciate knowing when a parishioner is in the hospital or homebound. Please call the parish office.
SUMMONED BY GOD
As Christmas draws near, Advent's scriptures lure us into a world of dreams, signs, wonders, and the miracle of the virgin birth. Too often we allow the great stories of our faith, the ones that are most familiar, simply to wash over us. Today's Gospel account of the events leading up to the birth of the Lord reads like a present-day soap opera. Yet Joseph's courage, even in the midst of what must have been an in-credibly confusing time, provides a model for us. Each week, we are summoned by God to embrace the way of goodness and truth through the proclamation of God's holy word. Like Joseph, we are called to do as the Lord commands us. As we stand at the threshold of Christmas, let us have the courage to be open to whatever it is that the Lord will require of us as we celebrate the miracle of Bethlehem.
You will be given this sign: the virgin shall conceive and
bear a son, and shall name him Emmanuel (Isaiah 7:10-14).
Let the Lord enter; he is king of glory (Psalm 24).
God has called us to belong to Jesus Christ (Romans 1:1-7).
The son born of Mary shall be called Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. He shall be Emmanuel, "God is with us"
(Matthew 1:18-24).

St. Matthew Men’s Club is a ministry of St. Matthew Parish, open to all adult males of the parish, that provides an at-mosphere for fostering Christian fellowship and a sense of community among the men of the parish aimed at strengthening family life in our parish. We serve as a support group and provide a structure to assist with various par-ish religious celebrations, social events and parish service projects.
We meet at 7:30 P.M. in the parish center on the second Wednesday of each month.

The story of the First Christmas was wonderfully re-enacted on December 11th at the 9:00A.M. Children’s Mass, featuring the angelic voices of our children’s choir. Special thanks to Father Clem and Debbie Whitlock and all the teachers and

If you are looking for something new to do, why not stop by the Parish Center on any Tuesday morning between 10:00 A.M. and 12 noon and check out Loving Hands Prayer Shawl Ministry.
We knit and crochet prayer shawls, lapghans, hats, scarves and items for the Veteran’s Hospital. It doesn’t matter if you are a beginner, or an expert everyone is welcome.
