Barcelona’s location on the Mediterranean coast assures a warm, welcoming climate with pleasant temperatures all year round. The city boasts more than 5 kilometres of beaches, an Olympic marina, open-air restaurants, famous stores for shopping, and many street cafes.

Absorb Barcelona’s wonderful history and bohemian atmosphere. Walk through the Gothic Quarter, one of the world’s best-preserved medieval areas, and the Ribera and Raval districts. The bustling streets and neighbourhoods can be easily explored by bus, by bicycle or on foot.

Of course, if Barcelona is famous for any one thing, it is its buildings. Take the time to admire the city’s architectural masterpieces such as the Sagrada Familia and La Pedrera, created by Antoni Gaudí and other architects, and soak up Modernisme, the city’s home-grown Art Nouveau movement and all that Barcelona has to offer.

The SEVC’s workshops are another unique feature that enable delegates to gain hands-on laboratory experience and learn new techniques by working in small groups with world-class instructors using the latest equipment on the market.

The workshops will be presented in English, but instructors will provide assistance with other languages. Registration for the workshops does not require registration for the SEVC Scientific Programme.

Preliminary list of labs for SEVC 2020:

• Everything you Always Wanted to Know About Cytology and Blood Smears, But Were Afraid to Ask

• Canine Abdominal Ultrasonography

• Ultrasonographic Identification of Abdominal Pathologies. Clinical Cases

• Challenging Cases in Thoracic and Abdominal Radiology

• What Should a Practitioner Know When Viewing MRI and CT Images of Clinical Cases?

Other preliminary workshops:

• Small Animal Dentistry

• Behaviour

• Exotics

• Orthopaedics

• Emergency

• Ophthalmology

experience!

The SEVC workshops and laboratories adhere strictly to the ethical oversight directions and approval under Spanish regulations in their use of live animals. The number of animals used is always minimal. Every effort is made to avoid situations and procedures that would cause anxiety and pain in the animals, and appropriate sedation and analgesia are used whenever necessary. No animal will be euthanised to meet the needs of any SEVC workshop.
