IDEAL 2019-2020
• Incoming 9th Grade class is limited to 60 students!
• Students will attend during the normal day
• Students are eligible to participate in clubs and sports at the school
• Anyone outside of the SJHS feeder pattern will need to complete the reassignment request
Benefits
• Core and agricultural classes are blended to teach relevance of skills and concepts
• Internships are an integral part of the pathways starting the Junior year
• Students can earn a high school diploma and Associate’s Degree through the University of Mount Olive within 4 years

2019-2020 Course Registration
• Students will be registered for courses based on pathways and courses taken in Middle School (Math I, etc.)
• Limited flexibility on courses for freshmen year
• Honors or Standard Core Classes
Acceptance Letters
• The application deadline is April 18, 2019
• Students that are accepted into the program will be notified by May 3, 2019
Community College and UMO Courses
• Students will be required to meet entrance requirements for courses during their sophomore year
(Test Scores and GPA)
• In the event a student does not qualify for college or university courses, they will be diverted back to Career Pathway
Internships
• Students will participate in internships starting their Junior year
• Transportation will be the responsibility of the students/parents
• Currently working on potential sites now
