Requirements• Create new Facebook account for work related purposes

– Use your armadahc.com email address when signing up– Make sure you join the Armada HC fan page by searching for it in Facebook’s search bar and clicking “Like”– Use informal photo of yourself– Avoid “friending” each other as this will eliminate duplicate friend suggestions via FB later.– Don’t invite more than 20 people to “friend” you per day.

• Create new Twitter account for work related purposes– Use your armadahc.com email address when signing up– Search for Armada HC in the twitter search bar and follow.– Use semi-formal photo of yourself– You can follow up to 2000 people before you can add more. – Avoid following companies or groups. Only target people that have a picture of themselves down-to-earth

short description.• Create new LinkedIn account for work related purposes

Facebook Tips• Join groups you think are relevant to either the location or type of positions we are recruiting for. Keep in

mind there is a limit on the number of groups you can join which is 200.• You can view the list of members in a group and target them by adding them if you feel they are relevant.• Post comments to the walls of the groups you joined and ask people to send you a friend invite because you

are a recruiter looking for talent…avoid being specific about any vacancy. Include the url: www.armadahc.meshhire.com when posting.

• Post comments to the walls of the groups you joined and ask people if they are interested in applying for a specific job. In this case also indicate the URL for the specific job which is viewable on Meshhire.

• On Monday’s always go in to Facebook and remove any friend invites of possible contacts that have not friended you from the previous week. This prevents FB from possibly blocking you for having too many unanswered friend invites.

• It does not hurt to send a message to someone to send you a friend invite either. In this case you are not sending them a request to be your friend from the start. You send them a message, explain you are a recruiter, and that you would like to add them as a contact for future job opening. Always include the www.armadahc.meshhire.com url as this points them to our general list of jobs.

• Be friendly in your general messages and posts. Be sincere as well so that people understand you are trying to help them. Always ask them to refer someone if they are not interested.

• If you send out 100 friend invites this week you should have more than 25 new friends by Friday.• Each friend gives you access to lots more viewers of our vacanceis while using meshhire

Twitter Tips• Make sure you include a short description next to your name which is visible when search who to follow. • Make it clear you are a recruiter looking for great talent and specify within Africa for now.• Include our armadahc.meshhire.com url at the bottom or end of your short description. • When searching people to follow you can do so by entering your keywords in the Twitter search bar. • Be sure to also look at the followers list of competitor companies such as staffing firms or companies that

hire they type of people we are looking for. This is a great way to follow someone that may follow you back.• Like Facebook, if you are not followed by end of the week…delete any possible contacts that have not

followed you on Mondays. • Twitter limits the size your tweets to only so many characters. So be to the point when tweeting job

vacancies. Always include the url: armadahc.meshhire.com so folks can click on it and go to our careers page.

• Twitter uses hashtags as a way of helping people find things by searching for them. It is a good idea to use hashtags in your messages such as: #nairobijobs, #kenyajobs, #trainer #uganda. Please notice that I did not put a space between nairobi and jobs. I also did not put a space between kenya and job. Yet I seperated trainer from uganda. The reason for this is that twitter does not require the space when two words are next to each other. In the case of my 3rd example, I don’t know if the user will search “trainer uganda” so, I separated them to be sure my tweet comes up.

• If you request 2000 people to follow you this first week, you should have about 200 followers by end of the week.

LinkedIn Tips• This is the most formal of social networks as it caters to the 1%. By this I mean the

site boasts the average user has a salary of over $100,000. Make sure you use your best pic.

• You can upload your contacts from your personal email accounts or even contacts that have written in to jobs at PR or jobs at AHC.

• Email addresses are key to adding new contacts on LinkedIn. • Email addresses are often indicated on the posting that people make when they

comment or ask questions in various groups that LinkedIn offers you to join. • The maximum amount of groups you can join is limited to 50.• There are lots of groups based on a large variety of search terms.• You can add our ArmadaHC corporate page by searching for us in the LinkedIn search

bar and select companies. All staff should be listed there under the company page.• If you find an email address for someone on the internet while doing research, add

that email address to linked in by clicking on add connections and entering the email address.

Bull Horn Reach• Look for an email from Greg inviting you to Bull Horn Reach.• Go to www.bullhornreach.com and establish an account using your armadahc.com email address. You

can use any picture that you like. • If you prefer to use our company logo, you can do that too in this case.• You will need to connect your new FB, TW, and LI accounts you just created.• Click on “Engage”, and select a possible article to distribute to everyone OR search for a URL on the

internet if you think you can find one interesting that career advice seeking people would like to read.• Select your social media channels to post to (in this case all of them – FB, LI, TW) Make sure you are

added as an Administrator to the Armada HC fan page so you have the option to post there as well.• When you post your article it will go out to all 4 sources and thus your entire social media audience in

one click…and you can even select up to 5 groups on LI to post to as well with each posting.• This is great for attracting people to you. As you do this over time, you will start to get requests from

strangers that like your content. So post things relevant to the jobs you are either looking for or career related advise in general.

• I would encourage you to post at least twice per day or more if you have the time. However I would not over do it and post too much (more than 10) so it does not seem like you pushing it to folks.

Things to Remember• Don’t just invite anyone…use your best judgment to

determine if they could be a good target or “mechanism” to attract a target.

• Unfriend each other on FB and TW. Both of these networks will tend to offer you suggestions of friends that the other already has. This will avoid duplication.

• Use a good photo if you can and use any webcam to improvise if you don’t have one (nice pic or normal camera) available right away.

• Respond to anyone that writes you and say hello…so they understand you are not a “friends collector”
