This award-winning actor was born in Edinburgh August 25, 1930. He started his career as a milkman, later joined the Navy where he gained two tattoos, one of which reads “Scotland Forever“.

He has starred in many films, including “Untouchables“ (1987) and “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade“ (1989). Between 1962 and 1983 he portrayed a character he claims to have eventually got tired of.

He has been polled as one of the greatest living Scots He has joined the YES campaign for the Scottish Independence.
