In pursuance to RA 10533, the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013, and in relation to DepEd goal of making every child a reader, this office informs the field that there will be a Three-day Writeshop in the Development of Mother Tongue-Based Reading Inventory cum Storybooks Writing and Designing on August 13-15, 2019 at Arnaldo's Function Hall, Digos City. 2. The objectives of this activity are the following: a. Identify existing Mother Tongue reading materials and Mother Tongue reading inventory tool utilized as school reading assessment tool for Grades 1 to 3 pupils; b. Craft contextualized Mother Tongue reading inventory tool for Grades 1 to 3 pupils according to the context of Digos City; C. Raise gender awareness among the participants enabling them to be more committed and responsive to gender equality; d. Design storybooks through digitization incorporating gender and development concepts; and e. Evaluate the reading inventory tool/reading resources for quality assurance. 3. The list of participants is hereto attached. 4. Participants are required to bring their own laptops, extension cord, and useful materials for Illustration and crafting of reading materials and inventory tool. It is expected that participants must bring copies of their a) Curriculum, Teachers' and Learners' Guides, b) localized/ contextualized instructional reading materials, c) assessment tool in MTB, and d) MTB Phil- IRI assessment tool. 5. It is advised that the classes of the teacher- participants are taken care of by other teachers left in school through proper arrangement done the School Head. 6. Meals and travelling expenses of participants are chargeable against MOOE/Iocal funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. 7. 1.
