The Music Department offers four degrees. • Bachelor of Science in Music Education

- a program that leads to K-12 Vocal/histrumental Licensure to teach instrumental-band, vocal-choral and general music in the public schools. Easily the best and most successful Music Education program in North Carolina! The strength of this program is built on 4 student teaching practicum situations, plus Elon's Nationally Recognized Music in the Village Project which offers additional practicum experience every semester.

• Bachelor of Science in Music Production and Recording Aiis - a progi-am designed for those students who have an interest in commercial music, music for film and television, music production, audio engineering, song writing, and music industry.

•Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance - a program (instrumental or vocal emphasis) for students interested in graduate school, apprenticeships, applied teaching and performing careers. Performance majors may combine their performance concentration with a minor in jazz studies, music technology or piano pedagogy.

• Bachelor of Arts in Music In Liberal Ails - a degree designed for those students with the specific wish to be as versatile in their collegiate experience as possible, with the result being the creation of an extremely well-rounded musical experience. This degree also gives students the opportunity to be involved in a lot of different ensembles, delve into a number of different musical arenas, as well as combine their music with other majors from around the campus. Career paths in Music Theory, Business, History, Therapy, and Perforaiance can be developed. No audition is required for acceptance into this progi'am.
