Anointing of the Sick—Anyone facing surgery or dealing with a serious illness should contact the parish office or Fr. Kevin for the reception of this sacrament. Tour of Ireland Trip! Have you ever wanted to visit Ireland and visit it’s landscapes, cities, and holy sites? You are in luck! There will be a parish trip to Ireland with Fr. Kevin on May 11th through May 21st 2020. If you are
interested, please visit our website at saintmatthew.us or pick up a registration form in the narthex.
Pray The Rosary Before Mass The Knights of Columbus council 8972 will be leading the rosary starting about 20 minutes before all four masses on the first Sunday of each month, in the daily chapel. We will be praying the weekend of
October 5 and 6. Please join us whether you are new to the rosary or pray the rosary daily.
Month of the Holy Rosary The month of October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary. Praying the Rosary is a wonderful way to honor our Blessed Mother. Please join us in praying
the Rosary every Thursday morning after Communion Service at 9 AM. Rosary booklets in English and Spanish and Rosaries will be provided. If you cannot join us and have a prayer request, please call Helen Martin 770-871-6586 or email her at [email protected] . We always pray for our St. Matthew Parish Family.
Young Adults en El Camino! There will be an informational meeting on Sunday October 6th at 4pm in Room 5 for any young adult interested in doing a pilgrimage to Santiago de
Compostela in June of 2020 led by Fr. Kevin!
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Raffle
OLPH tickets will be going on sale the week-end of Sept 28-29 and Oct 5-6. A book of 6
tickets can be purchased for $5.00 or a ticket for $1.00. Prizes this year are a 2 night stay at the Westin Jekyll
Island, a Ring Video Doorbell 2 with a 1 year protection plus and $500.00 cash. If the church community would like to par-ticipate with the auction basket this year from St Matthew we will be doing our sock basket again. So we will collect any kind of socks, women, men, kids, colors, crazy, whatever you would like to bring. We will have a basket set up on the day that we
are selling the tickets for the collection. If anyone would like to attend the annual luncheon it is on Saturday, Oct 19 at St Peter Channel Catholic Church in Roswell, GA. Luncheon tickets are $50.00 per person. Thanks and be looking for a member on
these weekends.
Flu Shots Walgreens will be providing Flu Shots on Sunday Oct 19th
and 20th after all the masses. Registrations begin October 5th & 6th.
Shots are FREE for those with no insurance or the under-insured.
Many insurance plans are accepted for Zero co-pay – bring your insurance cards.
There will be shots available for persons 65 years and older who have their Medicare insurance cards.
MORE NEWS FROM AROUND THE PARISH KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT On Friday October 11, 2019, the St. Mary Magdalene Knights of Columbus will hold their 13th Annual Charity Golf Tournament at Summer Grove Golf Course. The tournament will be a shotgun start at 12 pm with a dinner to follow the golf. The entry fee is $85 per person and there are great prizes available to participants. The
proceeds from the tournament go to support local charities. If you would like to play in the tournament and/or be a sponsor, please contact Bob Schnelle by phone or text at 678.895.3803, or email at [email protected] for more information.
MACS (Mature Adult Catholic Singles) is a fellowship group at Holy Trinity Church for all parish singles aged 50 and above. We will be having our October get-together on Saturday, October 12, at 6:30 pm,

Los premios de este año son una estadía de 2 noches en Westin Jekyll Island, un Ring Video Doorbell 2 con 1 año de protección adicional y $ 500.00 en efectivo. Brothers and Sisters in Christ, the weekend of Septem-
ber 28-29 is the Feast of St. Vincent de Paul.
The mission of our Society: “The St Vincent de
Paul Society is a lay Catholic organization that
aspires to live the gospel message by serving
Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice,
hope and joy, and by working to shape a more
just and compassionate society.”
Your monthly support allows us to fulfill this mis-
sion right here in our local community. In the past
year, we have served approximately 152 families
or about 405 people, with help for rent, utilities,
and food.
Your donations to our Food Drives has sent ap-
proximately 75 boxes of food to the Palmetto
Food Bank.
You have so generously donated over 375 com-
plete meals through the Thanksgiving and East-
er Basket drives.
Your generosity has touched literally thousands of
lives, and your love has been delivered into hun-
dreds of homes.
We are humbled and grateful for all that you have
done in support of our Mission, and for those in
need.
May the peace of Christ always fill your hearts.

Hermanos y hermanas en Cristo, el fin de sema-
na del 28 al 29 de septiembre es la fiesta de San
Vicente de Paúl.
La misión de nuestra Sociedad: “La Sociedad
de San Vicente de Paúl es una organización
católica laica que aspira a vivir el mensaje del
evangelio sirviendo a Cristo en los pobres con
amor, respeto, justicia, esperanza y alegría, y
trabajando para dar forma a un mundo más
justo. y sociedad compasiva ".
Su apoyo mensual nos permite cumplir esta mis-
ión aquí en nuestra comunidad local. En el último
año, hemos servido a aproximadamente 152 fa-
milias o alrededor de 405 personas, con ayuda
para alquiler, servicios públicos y alimentos.
Sus donaciones a nuestras unidades de alimen-
tos han enviado aproximadamente 75 cajas de
alimentos al Banco de Alimentos Palmetto.
