Dear families: Jesus desires to touch us in order to loosen our tongues so that he may speak to the spiritually hungry through us. He is inviting us to give him our hearts so that he may touch the lives of people in our day, through us, just as he touched the lives of millions through saintly souls like Faustina Kowalska, Mother Teresa and John Paul the second. Jesus’ compassion-ate touch will help us to hear the cries of the poor and the sick. It will teach us to show kindness, mercy and consideration, especially in our homes and to others. His healing touch will also help us convey peace and hope to those around us. We need to allow Jesus to touch us and heal our spir-itual deafness and muteness. Thus, let us imitate the deaf man in the gospel by seeking out Jesus, following him away from the crowd, and spending more of our time getting to know him intimately in Holy Scripture, experiencing His merciful love through the sacraments and in our personal prayer. Jesus we put our trust in your healing touch. Help us to proclaim our faith loudly and our love for you with gladness. In Christ, Fr. William

Padre William

ST. EDWARD ANNUAL REPORT

2014-2015

Dear Parish Family: I hope you will find in this report a sincere effort to be transparent with all the resources put to our disposal: parishioners responding to God’s call who have discerned and consequently committed gifts of time, talent and treasure. The parish counts on you to keep us moving in the direction of fulfillment. And we hope you know how grateful we are for all the ways you give to make the parish successful in fulfilling its mission. Moving forward, I pray that more and more of our parish families will embrace stewardship as a way of life in their prayer, service and financial giving. I am confident that St. Edward Parish will continue to serve as good steward of those gifts. “Watch carefully then how you live, not as foolish person but as wise…” (Ephesians 5:15) A wise person recognizes that all we have come from God. A wise person thanks God every day for all his many blessings. A wise person realizes that God has blessed us for a reason and He wants us to be partners with Him in His work here on earth.

Fr. William
