• Every 13 minutes a new name is added
• Nationally 17 people die each day waiting
Why do people have to wait?
Regulations thatsupport donation efforts:
Federal government regulations:
Each hospital must have an agreement with an OPO designated by federal government.
Hospitals must contact OPO on every death.
Hospitals must ensure that the family of EVERY potential donor is informed of their to donate by the WRTC staff or a WRTC designated and trained requestor.
