RESOUND 2012 BREAKOUT SESSIONS Session 1 12:30 “Furious Love: A Worship Leader & Songwriter’s Journey Into the Love of God” Auditorium Jeremy Riddle, Resound Featured Artist In this session, Jeremy will share from his own experiences what it means to lead worship and write songs for a generation hungry for an encounter with God. This session will be encouraging, practical, and honest. Jeremy is a well-known worship leader and song-writer with Vineyard Music and Bethel Music. Some of his best known songs are “Sweetly Broken”, “Furious”, and “One Thing Remains”. Other bio information can be found on Resoundconference.com “Story Time With Dave: Exploring a New/Really Old Form of Worship” Theater Dave Powers In this session, we’ll explore a fascinating form of worship that is quite old, but rarely done in our Western culture. It’s going to be fun! Plus, Dave will tell a bunch of stories about his experiences with it……….and then we’ll give it a shot! Dave and Tara Powers are the founders and directors of Worship and the Word Movement. For over 10 years, Dave has been teaching the Word and leading worship around the world and Tara has been throwing down some gnarly ministry with him, and most of the time their son Hunter travels with them, which is Ridiculously Amazing! Currently, they travel the world doing conferences, churches, festivals and retreats. They are also part of an amazing team of people that oversee several “movements”, including Heaven Fest, 24-7 Tent, and SkateMinistry.org. “Pursuit of the Father” Foyer Nick Kofahl To truly grasp who we are as God’s sons and daughters, we need to get back to the basics and pursue His heart beyond the Sunday morning time slot. Our personal pursuit of the Father not only enriches our daily growth but will also have a rippling effect on our families, communities, and corporate gatherings. Revival starts in our homes, and it’s time to place the pursuit of the Father at the level of importance that it ought to be! Nick attends Vinelife and is a Resound Conference staff member. A husband, father, musician and lover of Jesus, Nick has served on several church staffs over the years, but most recently has moved into a key position in the business world. Nick’s passion is to reach out and connect to people in all walks of life, fueled by a burning desire to see the Bride of Christ awakened to the fullness and reality of who we are! “The Prophetic Creative Process” Upstairs Classroom Rich Harris In this workshop we will discuss and demonstrate how the prophetic gift is a part of the creative process in worship, the arts, writing and music. God flows in creativity and He dwells in you! Rich Harris has walked with the Lord for fifty years. In 1998 he planted The Centre (LWMI), an Equipping and Training Community, in Wheat Ridge, CO. At this community he pastors prophetic people, musicians, artists and others with various spiritual gifts. Rich has been involved in prophetic ministry, the arts, and teaching since the late 1960’s. Session 2 1:45 “Discovering Your Breakthrough Sound” Auditorium Melissa Helser, Resound Featured Artist This class will explore the beauty of the sound of your life and finding the song that lives inside you. Melissa will share her story and her heart about learning to embrace the seasons of life and discover the breakthrough song both on the mountain and in the valley. Melissa’s bio can be found on Resoundconference.com “Radical Generosity” Theater Chad Johnson, Resound Featured Speaker In this session, Chad will unpack the “ins and outs” of one of the core values of Come & Live! ----- radical generosity! Come & Live! is a community of Kingdom-minded artists who share their music with the world, for free! Come and learn about the Father’s heart for generosity and ways you can give your art, music, and creations to the world in a sustainable way. “The Story of Cinderella: Beauty From Ashes” Upstairs Classroom Mark Humbrecht Our hearts are good and they really matter to God! We all have a unique story to tell that’s being played out within the context of God’s bigger story. As we are being transformed into glory, our giftings and callings are under constant assault from our enemy. Mark will share from his experiences on how to “guard your heart” in order to stay focused and passionate. Let’s learn how we can support one another as we all play our parts within the great drama of His kingdom being established and His glory being revealed through us. Mark attends Vinelife Church and is a founding member of the Resound Conference. A lifelong musician, Mark has been leading worship for 30 years and along the way has coached and encouraged many musicians, singers, and artists. With his wife Nancy and their ministry Falling Fire, they have written and recorded many worship and inspirational songs, have taught in many conferences and churches, and have supported worship team development within the local church in both Indiana and Colorado.

Session 3 3:00 “Enjoying Marriage & Ministry” Auditorium Jonathan David & Melissa Helser, Resound Featured Artists “One can put a thousand to flight, and two ten thousand….” Jonathan & Melissa will discuss enjoying the Lord and working together in ministry, finding the power and beauty of friendship ministering alongside one another. This will be a time of sharing from their life experience in marriage, parenting, leading worship, and doing full-time ministry with a family. Jonathan & Melissa’s bio can be found on Resoundconference.com “Pastoring the Worship Community” Theater Joel Davis & Garland Davis In this session we will discuss the importance of nurturing the relationship between the Lead Pastor and the worship leaders of a community. Senior leaders need to know how to relate and work with artists and creative people. As well, artists must learn how to honor their leader and learn how to best work with them. We will explore the dimensions of these relationships in both attitudes and practical applications. Garland Davis is Lead Pastor of Ecclesia, in Tampa, Florida. Joel Davis is lead singer of Ascend The Hill, one of our Resound Featured Artists. Nick and Jason will share from their personal journeys towards healing and offer their unique perspective on living from your “whole heart”. Jason Roberson is the Worship Pastor at Vinelife and is a founding member of the Resound Conference. Jason also is the leader of the Resound Collective, one of our Featured Artists. Nick Kofahl is also on the Resound Conference staff and is part of the Vinelife community (see additional bio in Nick’s other breakout session above). "Home-Made Art by Hand-Made People" Upstairs Classroom Jarrod Renaud There is a cultural shift happening. In an age of mass production and cheap trinkets, people are searching for what is unique, beautiful, and authentic. From the perfect cup of coffee to finely crafted apparel, we are discovering that craftsmanship and artistry matter. This session is about tapping into the power of your own story to create offerings that speak of the intentionality and thoughtfulness of our Creator. Jarrod Renaud is part of a generation that is honoring the past and clinging to well-intentioned art, craftsmanship & most of all genuine community that can easily be overlooked in this day and digital age.
