THE WINTER CEREALS DEVELOPMENT PLAN REGULATIONS – LEVY COLLECTION
Order No. 14/18. The SASKATCHEWAN WINTER CEREALS DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, pursuant to the provisions of The Winter Cereals Development Plan Regulations and The Agri-Food Act, 2004, hereby determines and orders as follows:
1 Upon final settlement made to producers, all sales of winter cereals are subject to a levy of $1.00 per tonne of winter cereals marketed.
2 Each buyer shall deduct the levy from any proceeds payable to a producer when winter cereals are:
(a) purchased from a producer; or
(b) acquired from a producer for sale on the producer’s behalf.
3 If the levy is not deducted by the buyer, the producer is liable for payment of the levy to the Commission.
4 All levy monies must be submitted to the Commission office within 55 days from the end of the month within which the winter cereals were sold and the levy was collected.
5 Using the appropriate levy remittance form as provided by the Commission, each levy submission to the Commission office must include the following information with respect to each producer for whom a levy is submitted:
(a) the name, mailing address and email address (if applicable) of the producer;
(b) the amount of winter cereals purchased from the producer;
(c) the amount of levy being paid on behalf of the producer.
6 Order No. 13/16 – Levy Collection is hereby wholly revoked.
7 This Order will remain in effect for a period no longer than ten years from the date this Order is approved by the Agri-Food Council.

GENERAL APPLICATION PRACTICE DIRECTIVE NO. 8 COMMUNICATION AND CORRESPONDENCE WITH JUDGES
Effective: May 1, 2018 REFERENCE: GA-PD No. 8Former reference: Administrative Notice issued June 20, 2013.
1 Unless specifically provided for in The Queen’s Bench Rules or this practice directive, lawyers or parties to a court proceeding must not, by any means, communicate directly or indirectly with a judge outside of court, about a proceeding before the court.
2 An informal communication in accordance with this practice directive is permitted in the following circumstances:
(a) in accordance with a judge’s fiat or written direction;
(b) the communication is in writing and does no more than provide a case citation;
(c) the communication is in writing and is for the purpose of notifying the court of the party’s objection to a without notice application by the opposing party;
(d) the communication only relates to scheduling, including adjournments or cancellation of proceedings.

3 Any informal communication by letter, email, telephone or other means, must be addressed to the local registrar, unless a judge specifically grants permission to allow direct contact.
4 At the same time that any party provides an informal communication to the local registrar, a copy of the informal communication shall be directed to all opposing parties.
5 Informal communications, while less formal, are subject to the same principles of civility as any other court proceedings.
6 Where a person seeks to communicate with a judge in a matter not related to proceedings before the court, but in the judge’s capacity as a judge, a request to communicate directly with a judge should be made through a local registrar.

PLEASE NOTE: The deadline for submissions to The Saskatchewan Gazette is 5 p.m. on the Monday of the week of publication. If a holiday occurs within the week of publication, the deadline is set back to 5 p.m. of the previous Friday. Please allow yourself at least one full week to ensure mail delivery of Gazette submissions. Publication of any material received late will be delayed until the following week’s issue.
All material for publication in The Saskatchewan Gazette must be submitted electronically (MS Word or WordPerfect) accompanied by a signed hard copy to Publications Saskatchewan, Ministry of Justice, B19-3085 Albert St., Regina SK S4S 0B1, tel. (306)787-2367, or by E-mail: [email protected].
Each document or disk must be complete in the form required for publication and must be separate from the covering letter. Signatures on all documents must be typewritten or clearly printed immediately below the written signatures.
Prepayment is required for ALL notices placed in The Saskatchewan Gazette by non-government clients. Cheques or money orders must be made payable to the Minister of Finance. Please include the GST in addition to regular charges at the rate of 5% each for those items listed below under “GST Payable”.
The minimum charge for publication of notices not specified below is $16.00 for each notice, which sum shall accompany the material when forwarded for publication.
