SEE YOU AT THE PARISH PICNIC This Weekend Sunday Sept. 12

at the Elm Ave Town Park Large Pavilion! Starting with Outdoor Mass at 11:30 a.m.

Volunteers needed for our Welcome Table -- Making parish life easier! ~ Volunteers are needed to help us make parish life easier! Our plan is to offer a Welcome Ta-ble, a place in the Gathering Hall where parishioners can obtain items such as: Mass cards, parish registration forms, Faith For-mation information and St. Thomas School materials as well as place requests for sacramental records (i.e. baptismal certifi-cates and forms to be a sacramental sponsor). This "office" out-side of office hours, will be available to parishioners before and after weekend Masses. If you are interested in helping out in this way, please contact the parish office. We will train You!Thanks. An Invitation to Serve ~ In the coming weeks we will be taking several minutes at each Mass, hoping to inspire you to serve our parish! Volunteering your time does not mean a life-time commitment. You may be available for a weekend, a few hours, weeks, or for a specific project. If a certain ministry calls out to you, just try it out! Whatever time you can give is so ap-preciated. We look forward to highlighting these opportuni-ties for you, as your fellow parishioners explain our needs and tell you what inspired them to serve.

WELCOME NEW PARISHIONERS ~ Thomas and Sarah Sirianni and their children Nicholas and Eva; Jeanette and Laura Cruz and their children Bailee and Jagger; Ms. Karen Riggins; Alex and Nicole Engdahl and their daughter Mary Alice; Debra and Christian Grieco.

St. Thomas Reads! ~ We are excited to announce the launch of the St. Thomas Book Club! We will meet every other month and discuss books that are connected to our faith. The October selection, The Sto-ry of a Soul, in honor of the Feast Day of St. Thérèse De Lisieux, is widely available

at most bookstores. We will meet on October 14 at 7 p.m. in the Gathering Hall to discuss the book. Here is an overview of The Story of a Soul: Two and a half years before her death in 1897 at the age of 24, as Thérèse Martin began writing down her childhood memories at the re-quest of her blood sisters in the Lisieux Carmel, few could have guessed the eventual outcome. Yet this Story of my soul, first published in 1898 in a highly edited version, quickly became a modern spiritual classic, read by millions and translated into dozens of languages around the world. We hope that you are as excited about this adventure as we are and we hope to see you on October 14!

WE are kicking off our Fall Tuesday Drives on Tuesday September 14 from 3-4 p.m. in the Church Parking Lot with St. James/St. Francis Food Pan-try. Our neighbors are most in need of bottle juice, jelly, toilet paper, sham-poo, toothpaste. Thank you for your generosity!

It’s The Season Of Creation Now through Oct. 4, people around the world are celebrating The Season of Creation with acts of caring for the universe of people, flora and fauna God has given us. During these days we are called to consider how we can live the 2021 theme: A Home For All..

Consider these opportunities:

· Reconnect and Rejoice Sunday with your family of pa-rishioners at the St. Thomas Picnic, Elm Avenue Park, 12:15 to 4:30 p.m.

· Say A Prayer for all those suffering drought, floods and fires.

· Pick Up A Clynk Bag in the St. Thomas Church Gather-ing Space. Fill and bring to the Hannaford. The returns will profit projects that protect water.

· Walk Outside At Night this week and marvel at the beauty of creation.

· Take 10 Minutes to concentrate on your breathing. Ap-preciate the air which is God’s gift to us. Relax in the joy of this gift.
