IMPORTANT: BY INSTALLING SAFEXS PROTECTOR SECURITY SOFTWARE ONTO YOUR SAFEXS DEVICE YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND ACCEPT THAT SAFEXS PROTECTOR DOES NOT SUPPORT ANY PRIOR INSTALLED MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS, INCLUDING SAFECONSOLE, AND THE CONNECTION TO THE AFOREMENTONED MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS AND ALL ASSOCIATED FEATURES PROVIDED BY THE PRIOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WILL BE PERMANENTLY REMOVED AND DELETED.

IF YOU ARE NOT SURE WHAT THIS MEANS, BEFORE CONTINUING PLEASE CONTACT YOUR IT ADMINISTRATOR OR CONTACT [email protected] FOR FURTHER CLARIFICATION.

DATA BACKUP: YOU MUST BACKUP YOUR DATA BEFORE INSTALLING THE SAFEXS PROTECTOR SECURITY SOFTWARE, ALL PREVIOUS DATA STORED ON THE DEVICE WILL BE LOST DURING THE INSTALL PROCESS.

To extend the life of Safexs secure USB drives, Ctwo Products have created a Safexs Protector Installer which securely installs the Safexs Protector security software onto Safexs secure USB drives, providing new features and the latest operating system support.

• Windows 10 • Windows 8.1 (all Versions) • Windows 7 (all Versions) • Windows Vista (all Versions) • Windows XP (SP4) • Mac OS X 10.4+ (including El Capitan 10.11) COMING

SOON • Linux Kernel 2.6+ (Including Ubuntu 14.04 LTS)

Safexs Protector Installer does not require Administrative rights.

Safexs Protector Installer supports the following Safexs secure USB devices and firmware.

The Safexs Protector Installer application contains three items;

Safexs Protector ISO

You will need the application installer and the ISO to install Safexs Protector onto your Safexs device.

Note! This part of the process is identical on all Operating Systems, however the application extension will be dmg on Mac OSX and no extension on Linux.

Installation

Installing Safexs Protector security software onto Safexs secure USB devices could not be easier; the following chapters explain the process in more detail.

Firstly you must find an available USB port and insert your Safexs device.

Double click the Safexs Protector Installer application to start the installation process.

Note! This part of the process is identical on all Operating Systems.

If you don’t insert Safexs before starting the Safexs Protector Installer application, you will see the following error message.

Agreeing to terms of use

Note! This part of the process is identical on all Operating Systems

Please read through the EULA and the click > OK to continue with the installation process, if you agree to our terms of use.

Browse for ISO file


Click > Browse to search for the Safexs Protector ISO file which came with the installer package and click > OK to continue.

Backup Data


Backup your data now if you haven’t done so previously, as all data stored on the device will be lost during the install process.

Once your are 100% sure that your data has been backed up, click > OK to continue

Burning ISO


Once the installation process starts, you will receive a status bar that shows you an indication of where the device is in the burning process. Please note that It may take a few minutes for the burning process to complete.

Once the burning process has completed, you will see the message below if the operation has been a success.

You may then run Safexs Protector set-up wizard on the secure device.

Updating Multiple Drives


The Safexs Protector Installer has been built to update multiple drives, without the need to go through all the previous steps. To update multiple drives, eject the finished drive, and insert a new Safexs device and click > Update Another to continue.

Note! You must have a licence which allows the installation of Safexs Protector onto multiple drives to use this function.

The Safexs Protector Installer application then skips the first two steps and takes you directly to the burning process.

Safely Remove Hardware

To eliminate the risk of corrupting data on your USB flash drive, before unplugging it from the USB port of your computer, use the ‘Safely Remove Hardware’ option from the system tray, ‘Eject’ or ‘Unmount’, depending on the operating system that you are using.
