PRINCIPAL’S NEWS PRESENTATION EVENING Last night was a wonderful celebration of our year and I congratulate those who received awards. I would also like to congratulate all of our students on being such an appreciative audience. Not everyone gets an award on the night, but everyone is acknowledged for their efforts throughout the year in some way. It is important that you know how much you are appreciated and valued for your contributions. Recognising the achievements of others graciously is an important skill. YEAR 6 FAREWELL I look forward to a very special evening on Monday to acknowledge our leaving Year 6 students. Congratulations to Miss Marziano and Year 5 for their efforts in putting the evening together. I am sure the student will have a fitting send off. REPORTS AND MAGAZINES Student reports will be sent home on Monday, 17th December. Included with the eldest child in each family's report, will be a copy of our school magazine. We hope you enjoy looking through these and seeing a record of our achievements this year. I thank the P&C for their financial support in ensuring a copy for each family. They look great and were professionally printed this year. Thanks to Kacey Pohlner for her efforts as editor. LAST DAY OF SCHOOL The last day of school for all students is Wednesday, 19th December. Please remember that during the holidays, you are most welcome to use our school oval. We ask that you stay away from the school buildings as a safety and security measure. Please keep an eye on our school over the period and report any concerns directly to the police. FIRST DAY 2019 All students will begin school on Wednesday, 6th February. This includes all new Kindergarten students. HOLIDAY GREETINGS As we approach the end of another exciting and action packed school year, I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our families a happy and safe holiday period and thank all staff, families and students for a great year. MEDICAL UPDATES Each year the school is required to update medical information. If your child has asthma, anaphylaxis or any other serious medical condition you will need to need see a doctor to have an updated plan. It is a requirement that these plans are updated every 12 months. The Christmas holidays would be a great time to make an appointment for your child to see your doctor. If your child suffers from an allergy please see Mrs Garraway at the start of next year to check we have the most up to date information. Cath Eddie Principal
