Q60 What is the fastest speed possible when marking on moving targets?

Q59 Is it possible to mark on moving targets?

  • 3Q54How can I prevent settings from being accidentally changed while the laser is operating?

The laser marker has a built-in "Key Lock" function.By password protecting the key operations so that only administrators can change settings, accidental changes can be prevented. In addition, it allows for individual locks by item, which makes it possible to choose which operations are locked.

Q55 How can I prevent the laser marker from receiving false inputs due to noise on the signal lines?Set the laser marker to ignore input pulses under a certain time duration. Most noise signals do not remain constant for a long period of time. (Up to 10 ms)

Secure management with selectable operation locks!

    * Precautions should be taken to eliminate the source of noise on communication lines.

  • 4Q56How can I ensure that only a certain number of products are marked?

The Counter settings and Counter output on the terminal block can be used to verify exactly how many products are marked. Set the desired number of products to be marked in the "Counter settings" as the "Final value". This makes it possible to output a signal from the laser marker when the final value has been reached. This output can then be used to stop production, sound an alarm, etc.

Q57How can I tell exactly how many hours the laser marker has been in operation?

It is possible to check the total operating time in the Maintenance parameters.

The laser marker keeps track of operating hours as well as the number of times the laser has performed marking operations. These values can also be used to account for daily operations. The total repetitions can be programmed or reset as shown below.

The desired quantity isset in the Final value.

  • 5What data formats can be input to the laser to mark designs and logos?

Q59 Is it possible to mark on moving targets?Yes. The laser marker is able to mark on moving targets by adjusting the position of the laser to follow the product. This functionality can be set automatically for production lines moving at a constant rate and also for those that vary in speed. The scan speed can be optimized through the Test Marking settings, taking the guess work out of achieving the best possible results.

Q58BMP, JPG, PNG, TIF, as well as CAD data can be imported to the laser marker to create almost any design or logo imaginable.

  • 6Q60What is the fastest speed possible when marking on moving targets?

This depends on the marking content and certain marking conditions. The fewer number of characters; the faster a laser marker can print. This also applies to the size and thickness of the font or design. Optimal speed must be set on an individual basis.

*As mentioned above, individual tests are necessary to determine that the laser can mark on moving targets. Please contact your nearest KEYENCE sales office for further details.
