The genre for our film opening is horror and therefore to create a successful production logo we shall look at horror movie films production logos and look at the conventions of

them and incorporate them within our production logo.

LIONSGATE

Lionsgate’s production logo has been transformed to have a red background which is a symbol for danger and this can be linked to blood which fore shadows the film and represents the genre of the film. There I a slight shadow behind the letter which represents the idea of being followed and therefore enforces the genre.

BLUMHOUSE PRODUCTIONS

Blumhouse Production’s have used a dim background to represent that the film will be dark themed and gloomy which is a key representation for horror. The mise en scene of the logo shows a deserted room, which also represents isolation as you see no door and assume it is closed in which represents there is no escaping the danger.
