The Terminalator
Afternoon led by:
Masterclass leaders:
Alan Townsend, Senior Industry Specialist, IFC-International Finance Corporation Tunc Alyanak, Senior Investment Officer, IFC- International Finance Corporation
An exclusive demonstration of the IFC’s excel-based financial model that builds four assets – an LNG
terminal, a gas-fired power plant, a coal-fired power plant, and an oil-fired power plant. The model
also calculates levelized terminal throughput charges and power prices. It enables rapid scenario
creation and instant comparison of the different thermal generation options. Uniquely, it breaks out
all gas/LNG midstream elements and enables the user to see the impact of midstream infrastructure
choices on gas-fired power prices.
02:00 p.m. – 03:15 p.m. Session 1: The Terminalator
Hands-on base case scenario development, showing all functionality of the model
Scenario creation possibilities including the modeling of small- and mid-scale LNG options
