Dear Parents & Caregivers,

Get ready everybody next week is very hectic.

MONDAY – 21ST JUNE 2021

HALF YEARLY REPORTS

Children will receive their half yearly reports on Monday so please look in their bags. If you don’t

receive the Report, please ring the school. An interview timesheet was sent out yesterday so if you are

wanting an Interview with your child’s teacher please return back to the office. If the times do not

suit, please contact the teacher to arrange another time.

Also, can children please wear their SPORTS UNIFORM.

P & C MONTHY MEETING

The monthly P & C meeting will be on next Monday 21st June starting at 3.10pm. Please remember

all parents and community members are most welcome to attend.

TUESDAY – 22ND JUNE 2021

MUSIC CONCERT

Tuesday will be the last day Mr Garrett will be coming to Spring Ridge Public School. We would like

to thank Mr Garrett for his magnificent music skills and patience for the past few years. As a gift we

will be conducting a music concert for Mr Garrett along with Walhallow and Blackville students.

Lunch will be supplied on the day (FREE), but children will need to supply their own recess.

Lunch will include Hotdogs, cordial and icy pole.

WEDNESDAY – 23RD JUNE 2021

ATHLETICS CARNIVAL – CHANGE OF DATE

Our Annual Athletics Carnival is definitely on AT GOLLAND FIELDS on Wednesday 23rd June.

All parents are welcome to come and watch their children take part in the events. All children are

asked to come dressed in their house colours on the day.

OXLEY: YELLOW

CUNNINGHAM: GREEN

If you are unsure what house your child is in please ring the school. Children need to be at the oval at

8.45am sharp ready for the March Past. There is a lot to get through on the day so please be punctual.

There will be NO CANTEEN, so please pack your child/children’s recess and lunch.

PLEASE REMEMBER THERE WILL BE NO BUS RUNNING ON THIS DAY. TRANSPORT

WILL BE BY PRIVATE CAR. IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE TRANSPORTING YOUR CHILD

PLEASE NOTIFY THE OFFICE SO OTHER ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE.

THURSDAY – 24TH JUNE 2021

NAIDOC DAY

Next Thursday 24th June, the children will be heading to Walhallow for the Annual NAIDOC

celebration. The children will travel by bus which will leave at 9.30am and return by 3pm. Lunch will

be provided FREE and the children will receive a sausage, poppa and a piece of cake and fruit.

Could you return the note and lunch order attached ASAP as the school would like to know numbers

so they can order accordingly. The day will also be a RED, BLACK and YELLOW Mufti Day so

the children may come dressed in these colours.

FRIDAY – 25TH JUNE 2021

KAMILAROI NAIDOC CUP – WALHALLOW PUBLIC SCHOOL

Walhallow Public School have kindly invited our Years 4 - 6 students to participate in a round robin

competition. Each team can be made up of 10 players (8 on the field). The games will run for 15

minutes and the team with the most games won will take home the Kamilaroi NAIDOC shield.

SPORTS UNIFORM is to be worn on this day. FREE sausage sizzle will be available BUT please

bring your own recess and drink bottles.

SATURDAY – 26TH JUNE 2021

CHICKEN AND PRAWN

The weekend of all weekends has finally arrived. The catering committee have worked very hard to

ensure that Saturday (the Annual Chicken and Prawn) will be a night not to be missed. The Chicken

and Prawn is always a great night and the 2021 Chicken and Prawn will be no different. See you all

tomorrow night.

We are definitely on the downhill slope to the end of term. By the time we get there I think we will be

all ready for a rest.

THERE IS ONE POSITIVE PARENTS, IF ALL GOES TO PLAN THERE IS ONLY ONE DAY

YOU’LL HAVE TO PACK LUNCHES!!!!!
