Term 3 YOUNG SCHOLARS

Everything OLD is

NEW again!

This term, the MakerSpace Marvels Young Scholars program are

using all the renovations in the school as their inspiration! Instead

of throwing out tired furniture students are giving it a new lease

on life and are repurposing chairs, bookcases or tables, using their

knowledge of the design process and technology skills. These items

will then find new life in the school!

Triathlon QueenslandOn the 19th July, Triathlon Queensland representatives visited Trinity Beach State School and presented at parade. The team explained the three legs of a triathlon (swim, bike, run) and, with the help of three volunteers, demonstrated a mini team race. A flyer outlining the free ‘Tri Before You Buy’ program and upcoming events was distributed, but copies are also available at the Main Office.

On the 7th and 8th August, Cairns Crocs Triathlon Club will be hosting the Coral Coast Triathlon. Over the two days, there are races for both kids and adults. This is a great opportunity to introduce children to the sport and demonstrate the fun and electric atmosphere at events.

Thank you to Trinity Beach State School for allowing us to visit your school and to Jodie Donovan who helped arrange the presentation.

If you would like to contact Triathlon Queensland, please email [email protected] or call the team on 07 3369 9600.
