Donuts for Dad Thank you to all our families that came to support our P & C on our Donuts for Dad morning. There was an awesome turn out and delicious donuts to be eaten as well. Last week we celebrated all the amazing things the males in our children’s lives play. We were able to eat our way through 300 scrumptious donuts in record- breaking time. I would like to thank our fabulous canteen helpers who arrived early to set up and ensure the donuts were hot and ready to eat. Kindergarten 2020 Wangi Wallabies has been successfully happening throughout the term. As we look towards Term 4, please encourage any new families to enrol now for Kindergarten 2020, before our transition program continues next term. Enrolment information is available from the office or any family can book an appointment to meet with me and see the school via the office. Newcastle Rebels Rugby League Gala Day On Wednesday I had the pleasure of taking 17 students from years 4, 5 and 6 to the Newcastle Rebels Rugby League Gala day. Our students as always represented WWPS with pride and displayed exemplary behaviour. They were incredibly respectful of their opposition and supported their teammates with kindness and maturity. I would also like to thank Cameron Vane who took on the role of coach, ensuring all students knew the rules of the game and the correct technique to tackle and run the ball. Signing in when volunteering or visiting The Department of Education has strict requirements regarding visitors to any school. All visitors on site must present to the front office and sign in. This ensures we know who is on site at all times, allowing us to keep everyone present safe. It also ensures that in case of an emergency we are able to account for everyone who is onsite. Anytime a person enters the school during operational hours they must report to the office even if you are helping out in the canteen, supporting reading groups, coaching a sporting team, please ensure you see the office first. This procedure safe guards our students and volunteers. Tim Lewis
