I have a lot of thanks to do this week. I Hope all Dads had a great Fathers Day. I saw many excited students leaving school on Friday with trinkets they had made in class or purchased at the Father s Day stall. Thanks to Kelly Rock and Heike Seubert, from the P&C, for running the Father s Day stall. Thanks to all the great cooks who made things for the bake sale. Thanks also to the SRC, Helen, Mrs Bryant and parents – Megan Wilson, Jess Wright, Alysia Warner for running the Bake Sale. Year 6 students, Pippa Kennedy and Finn Wilkie arrived to start work at 8.00am, which was beyond expectations but HUGELY appreciated. The SRC have raised $936 through their fundraising so far this year. Great work! Thanks Mrs Bryant for organising the writers visit and coordinating the day. The Stage 3 students had a great time and the authors, Tristan Banks and Siboney Duff, did a fantastic job encouraging and enthusing our students to be creative. One student said, That was the best school day ever!- see photos in following pages. Reminder to send in a note or ring the school if your child has been away sick. If we receive a note/phone call, then it is what we call an explained absence. If we do not get a note/ phone call, it is an unexplained absence and may be followed up if there are multiple absences. This week Early Stage 1 and Stage 1 will be having a Pet Talk. We hope this will encourage students to actively care for their pets and not leave all the hard work to their parents. Have a good week, Leanne McLaughlin Acting Principal. H ello, our names are Brittany Jansson and Cindy Vuong and we are fourth year Bachelor of Occupational Therapy students, from the University of Sydney. We have been placed at your school for our 8 week placement to provide occupational therapy support for your students. Our allocated days that we will be at school are Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am – 4:30pm. We will be providing classroom therapy in the mornings and providing one-on-one sessions with students in the afternoon. We will also help to run the lunchtime obstacle course program with the SRC reps. We are both from Sydney and have never visited this part of NSW before, so we are very excited to see what Kyogle and the surrounding regions have to offer! If you have any questions or comments our office is in the Community Room opposite KS. We look forward to working with Kyogle Public School for the next eight weeks.
