Harmony Day Hope you are all learning new facts about your child’s country in the lead up to Harmony Day on Thursday, 21 March.. It would be great if you could get some simple ‘dress ups’ together as well! If you, or someone you know, comes from one of the nominated countries, the children would love to hear of your experiences. Please let the relevant Teacher or Sue know if you can contribute in any way, it may even be by cooking some traditional food for the students. Below are the selected countries: KS: Ireland KC: Mexico 1G: Italy 1-2M: Japan 1-2N: Belgium 2-3X: Turkey 3-4M: Greece
AGM & Current Vacancies The Annual General Meeting for the P&C has been set for Wednesday, 20 March. All parents, carers, and members of the community are welcome, and all office positions will be declared vacant. Due to families moving away, we are currently without a Treasurer and Secretary. We are also seeking a new Uniform Shop coordinator. If you have any questions about the roles, please feel free to contact current office bearers Angie Brace, Helen Black or Jill Runciman for more information. Many hands make light work, so we’d love to see new faces join the P&C to assist at whatever capacity they are able – baking, crafting, fundraising, administrative support, etc. Any amount of help you can provide is welcome, so it doesn’t have to be a big commitment! Fete This year’s fete has been set for Friday, 10 May, and will include a stall for Mother’s Day gifts. If you are unable to attend meetings but would like to assist in the planning, contact Joy Newman. Uniform Shop News Do you have a morning or two a week free to make a big difference in the school? We are seeking a new uniform shop coordinator for this school year. Contact Beck Harley or Penny Galvin for more information. KPS branded fabric communication folders/library bags are new to the shop, and are already being enjoyed by the Kindy kids. If your child would like one of these durable bags, they’re available for $10 at the shop.
