OUTDOOR MOVIE NIGHT

In August 2019, Prelude Clubhouse enjoyed a Friday Night Flick at Heights Park in Richardson, TX. The evening social consisted of popcorn, popsicles, nice weather, and great conversation while watching the movie Angry Birds on the big screen!

FALL MUSIC FEST 2019

Prelude Clubhouse’s Fall Music Fest 2019 was on October 19, 2019. Almost $10,000 was raised for the Clubhouse via sponsorships, entry tickets, cookie sales, raffles, and a silent auction. Five different outstanding musical performances were featured at the festival, including Prelude Clubhouse member Justine Thompson.

THE CLUBHOUSE EXPRESS! Prelude Clubhouse started its van program in August 2019,

thanks to a generous grant provided by our friends at San Antonio Clubhouse. Members in Collin County outside the

DART service area are eligible to be picked up by the Clubhouse Express for transportation to and from

Clubhouse. The Clubhouse Express is used for low-cost rides to and from the Clubhouse, food pantry visits, grocery

store errands, and other Clubhouse operations.

AMAZON CAREER DAY Staff generalist Mimi Pollok and Prelude Members Sumeet, Jacob, and Kia went to Amazon’s career day on September 17, 2019, where they learned about the company’s numerous new job openings in the Dallas-Fort Worth region.

NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY On September 19th, 2019, Prelude Clubhouse celebrated North Texas Giving Day by attending the Farmstead Yoga Event with 40 different community nonprofits at Heritage Farmstead Museum. We enjoyed networking with others in attendance as well as participating in the unique 45-minute yoga session alongside a cast of various farm animals.

TARRANT COUNTY CLUBHOUSE (FORT WORTH, TX)

TARRANT COUNTY CLUBHOUSE GRAND OPENING On October 1st, 2019 Staff Generalist Mimi Pollok and Prelude Members Sumeet Gautam and Ben Bethel enjoyed a trip to Tarrant County Clubhouse’s Grand Opening. They participated in the Clubhouse’s lunch, wellness walk, and house meeting. Prelude Clubhouse received visitors from Tarrant County Clubhouse earlier in the season.

HOUSING UPDATES Staff Generalist Mimi Pollok helped Prelude Member Sumeet Gautam move from South Dallas to a new house in Richardson, Texas. His new home is much closer to Prelude’s Plano location. Prelude Member Cris Vigo upgraded from his old apartment to a new and bigger town home in Plano, Texas. Prelude Member Kia Mays is also enjoying her new place in Dallas, Texas.
