PEB System

A PEB(Pre Engineered Steel Building) is the complete steel building package that is delivered to the site as a fully

finished product which includes structural steel which are called primary members and cladding system which are

called secondary members and building accessories. Erecon will be done by bolng the components and no site

fabricaons or welding involved in this system. This result in me saving in construcon with good quality

compared to tradional convenonal type. Inherent resistance to earthquakes and tornados makes PEB system

the preferred choice of many.

U Need Solutions can supply and install:

Standard Practice:

Our steel buildings are economical but purposefully diverse in funcons. Fully computerized designing, detailing

and quality inspecons allow our steel to meet and exceed the standards stated by U.S codes. The standards that

we use for our designing the structures, cold form secons and welding in fabricaon shop are as follows.

Not only buildings we build relationships too...

Building The building, as specified herein consists of anchor bolts, column, raers, bracing, connecon clips, roof purlins, girts, sheeng, flashing, trims etc.. All materials are branded and free from defects.

Building widthO/O.Building width is the distance between the outside steel line of one side wall column + steel line to the outside line of side wall column of the opposite side. Any width is possible.

C/C.Building width is defined as distance from the center of main framed column of one side wall to the center of main framed column of the opposite side wall.

Building lengthO/O. Building length is the distance between the outside steel line of end wall column+ steel line to the outside line of end wall column of the opposite side. Any length is possible.

C/C. The building length is defined as distance from the center of main framed column of end grid side wall to the center of main framed column of the opposite end grid side wall.

Building heightBuilding height is eave height that is usually the distance from the boom of the main framed column base plate to the top cap plate of the main framed column. When the column are elevated from finished floor level of the building height is the distance from finished floor level, the building height is the distance from finished floor level to the top of the cap plate of the main framed column. the building clear height is the distance from ffl to the boom of the end plate of the raer at the knee.

Bay spacingBay spacing is the distance between two adjacent main frame columns and 7-8 meters are economical.

Steel lineSteel line is defined as distance between the centre of the main frame to the inside of the sheeng line.

Brick wall conditionThere will be 10 brick wall normally but not mandatory.

Roof SlopeGenerally it is 1:10.Slopes between 1:5 to 1:20 are used if required.

TRAITS PRE ENGINEERED BUILDING CONVENTIONAL BUILDING

StructureWeight

PEB’s are 30% lighter on an average because of efficient use of cold formed steel.

It is made up of heavy buildingcomponents and hot rolled steel secon.

Foundaon Simply design, easy to construct. Extensive, heavy foundaon required.

CostAccurate cost is already known beforeconstrucon. Generally 30% less thanconvenonal.

Esmated cost is known, usually havinga big variaon from actual cost.

TimeErecon me is already known and it iscompleted in a couple of weeks.

It takes a 2-3 months minimum.

SeismicResistance

The low weight flexible frames offer higherresistance to seismic forces.

Source &Coordinaon

It is a single stop soluon, designing, fabricaon and installaon done bye one.

Pipe lining process creates co-ordinaonproblem, so its difficult to handle.

FlexibilityExpansion

Future expansion is very easy and simple.Future expansion is most tedious andmore costly.

RelocatableIt is made by bolted connecons and can bedismantled and erected in a short span of me.

Is is not possible to relocate concretemade convenonal buildings.

The most common primary framing systems are shown below. All the shown frames are symmetrical about the ridge line and mul span/mulgable framing. Framing with unequal modules are possible but may require more engineering me and possible long delivery. The frames shown below are with bypass side wall girts, flush side wall girt are most expensive and less praccal opons.

Primary Rigid Frames

Mezzanine joists are built up or hot rolled I secon that are normally spaced at 1.5 m, for 150 mm thick concrete slab. Joist connects to mezzanine beams with flush type connecon. The clear height below the mezzanine is normally 3m above the finished floor level.

Mezzanine concrete slab should be designed to support the dead load and live load and collateral load.

Mezzanine deck fasteners are 5.5 mm diameters, self drilling screws with hex angel thread nuts they are spaced at 333 mm on centers without scaling.

A Mezzanine system is used to provide a separate floor in the building. A mezzanine consists of independent columns, main beams, joists and deck panels.Mezzanine beams or joist can be connected directly to main frame columns.Mezzanine beams are built up I secons that are normally spanning in the direcon of rigid.

Standard roof monitors have a throat opening width of 1m and are made of hot rolled (or) built-up secons. Wider throat opening width is also possible. Panels for the monitors are made of the same material as the roof panels. Eaves are constructed with panels, a bird screen mesh is provided along both side walls of the roof monitors.

Standard side wall roof extensions are 1.5 m wide. They are made of 200 mm deep hot rolled of built-up secons raer and 200 mm flush eave struts and purlins making it possible to add an oponal soffit panel without the need of addional framing. Wider extensions and extensions that support fascias are achieved using tappered built up raers and by pass purlins.

When crane system is required we will provide column brackets, crane runway beams & lateral e that support crane system. In this case we require complete crane informaon in order to design and esmate crane buildings.

The most common types of the crane systems in pre engineered buildings are

Secondary structural members are made from material that conform to ASTM A653M grade SS : 340 G90 class 1 and are designed in accordance with the 2002 edion of the AISI,cold formed steel design manual. It includes roof purlins, wall girts, eave struts secon, flange braces, gable angels and base angels. Purlins, eave struts and C – secon are rolled forms from 345 mm wide galvanized coils in thickness of 1.5, 1.75, 2.0, 2.25 and 2.5mm.

Secondary Structural Members

End walls girt frame to corner columns and wind columns either in a flush manner or in by – pass manner. Bearing frames and wind columns are manufactured from built up I – secons instead of the less standard C- secons used by other PEB manufacturers of this region rod bracing is shown. Rod bracing shall confirm to ASTM A36 or equivalent with minimum yield stress of 34.5 KN/cm2.
