The goal of the project is to revitalize the Mt. Pleasant Work District by focusing on pedestrian oriented industry and an enhanced the public realm. Rather than hide industrial processes, the project proposes to expose, or extrovert industry and bring the activity of the work district to the street side.
Set within the garment and textile district of the site, The Mt. Pleasant Textile & Garment Co-op offers a new perspective and organization of the traditional textile factory. The focus is to reveal the design and production process to the public, while creating an holistic space for a community of local textile and garment designers.

The UBC Farm is home to a variety of community groups, each of which bring to the farm a culturally rich background. Community of Cultures explores the culturally diverse mix of students, programming and outreach groups presently represented at the farm through a new student residence and farm market place. The project looks towards Musqueam, Mayan cultures present at the farm and works to find a balance between traditional cultural practices and a contemporary reading that finds its connection to the farm and to the students.

Vancouver is becoming an increasingly more dense city, and this is no more evident than in the West End neighbourhood. The curse of the West End, however, is the over abundance of Studio and One-Bedroom apartments, leaving small families hard pressed to find space within the growing city centre, and forced out to the sprawling suburbs.
This project looks at multi-family residential housing, and proposes alternate housing plans to accommodate a range family sizes within the dense city center.
