I. ACKNOWLEDGMENT
I would like to take this opportunity to send my deepest gratitude to
the people around me who made this practicum successful and possi-
ble.
To Atty. Romulo P. Valmores and his son Atty. Christopher Rey P.
Valmores, without them, I may not be able to continue my studies. To my
mentors in Valmores & Valmores Law Offices who always there to teach
and guide me.
I also want to thank my adviser, Prof. Sheryl Morales that guides me
in my college journey. I am very grateful to have her as a professor. I
have learned so much from her.
To my family especially my grandmother who always believe in me
and always there to support whatever it takes. To my classmates and
friends who inspires me.
And most of all, to our Almighty God Who block the wrong path
and open new opportunities for me. Without Him, I may not experience
this wonderful opportunity and meet people who fears and love Him with
greatly.
II. INTRODUCTION
On-the-Job Training is training that takes place at the work site,
usually supervised by a manager or an experienced co-worker. (http://www.ventureline.com/accounting-glossary/o/onthejob-training/)
How far do you know about in a law office? How many legal
terms do you know? Do you have any idea about the working envi-
ronment in a law office? These are the questions asked by our su-
pervisor during our orientation.
I don’t have any idea about the cultures in a law office ex-
cept for the fight for the rights of their client cases. But as the days
passed, I already knew few of the legal services provided by the of-
fice.
Valmores and Valmores Law Offices assists clients who are mostly Overseas Filipino Seafarers and/or their families, in their claims for disability and death benefits against abusive and indifferent employ-

IV. OBSERVATIONS IN THE COMPANY
What I have observed at Valmores & Valmores law Offices is that
employees have good relationship with each other. As a result, it is easy to
work.
The strength and challenges of this company is that they have a team
work, unity and bible study once a week.
The challenges are clients that so demanding and impatient.
I think the best practice of this company is how to communicate to dif-
ferent kinds of people, going to government agencies such as SSS, Phil-
health, Pag-ibig, POEA and SEC.
My over-all observation in Valmores & Valmores law Offices is the stress-
fress environment even if there are many pleadings to work on.
PERIODIC REPORTS (daily, weekly, monthly)
What we do daily are the following:
Printing/proofreading of all draft pleadings submitted to NLRC, NCMB,
Court of Appeals, Supreme Court, then for final printing and signature of
Atty. RPV.
Answering phone calls and sending letter through fax.
Typing SPA/Verification/Client Contract/Name Folder of every new client .
Operating office machines, such as photocopiers, facsimile machines,
and personal computers.
What we do weekly are the following: Updating weekly the Minutes of Hearing in the computer.
Interview clients and explaining legal services provided by the office.
What we do monthly are the following: Verifying the status of the clients’ contracts of employment and their
agencies at POEA.
Going to different government agencies to pay monthly contributions
(such as PhilHealth, PAG-IBIG, SSS).
During my whole training in Valmores and Valmores Law Office, I think
the problem/s that I have encountered when I caught by the MMDA going
to POEA due for Jay Walking Violation at the Ortigas Intersection. I also ob-
served that there are folders that were misplaced.
