    CityFest Counselor TrainingEach Wednesday in July

    7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Room 228

    If you want to participate at CityFest as a counselor during theinvitation times, plan on attending ONE Counselor Training Ses-

    sion. You must attend training and register with the Luis PalauAssociation before August 1 in order to serve as a counselor.Contact: Pastor Joel..

    Begins nightly at 5:30 PM, on Monday, Tuesday andWednesday. Then, on Thursday - Family Night theactivities and barbecue begin at 5:00 PM.

    This is a Summer sports camp with age appropriateevents such as running, high jump, throwing and jav-elin, games, snacks. Each participant will receive aspecial T-shirt with their registration.

    Registration Fee: $10 per child, or $30 perfamily maximum. You can register onlinevia church web site, www.PCCToday.com.

    Volunteers are needed to work in the Family Fun Fest Zone with chil-dren as altar workers. Open to individuals 16 years and older. PCCis partnering with the Luis Palau ministries to reach families in our citywith the gospel. All volunteers that work with kids must attend a train-ing session. Contact Pastor St. John if you are interested.

    Local churches are partnering with Luis Palau and city officials in

    making an impact in our local communities. Join us in the upcomingJuly Season of Service project on July 19 th at the Union Gospel Mis-sion. Invite a friend to join you in serving a quality meal to those inneed and in joining you at CityFest, August 22th and 23rd at WaterfrontPark. See Linda Eaton and Pastor Joel at the Cityfest display table inthe foyer every Sunday morning for more info.

    We will cap off our Season of Service with this final project at RobertGray Middle school. Volunteers will assist in the annual clean-up

    and beautification of the school grounds in preparation for the com-ing school year. Invite a friend and donate a couple of hours of your

    time in showing this school that PCC cares about them.

    Accepting Applications for Fall 2008/2009

    Who: For parents and their elementary age

    children.

    What: Play basketball, teach jump-rope, or

    just sit and chat with a child. Its a great time

    to kick back with kids.

    Where: PCC Gymnasium

    Why: A chance for you to serve and allow our

    yearly teachers to take a much needed break.

    When: Wednesdays in July, 7:00 TO8:30 PM.How: Call the childrens ministry office and

    get signed up. Just being available for one

    night will make the difference.
