New development

The ALPHA AKUSTIK panel is a Staudigel development. It was conceived with the objective to develop sound absorbers that are mechanically resilient while having with two identical-looking faces.

Contrary to the other products available on the market, the ALPHA AKUSTIK panel is characterized by its sandwich construction with internal acoustic fleece.

Being located inside the panel, the fleece is protected from mechanical damage.

This construction is suitable for all our panel types, whether the face pattern has holes or slats.

The product is ideal for closet doors and for partitions of 17 and 20 mm thickness. It offers an excellent price/performance ratio.

We support planners and builders

To help planners and builders, we prepared some documentation material on how to install ALPHA AKUSTIK panels in an economically efficient manner.

Caution: Dimensional changes may occur with some panel materials Wood absorbs and releases moisture in dependence on the moisture content of the ambient air. This is particularly true for acoustic panels as the surface of the material is greatly increased by bore holes and grooves.For this reason, the material supplied by us should be acclimatised sufficiently.

Important instructions for installation!The wall and ceiling panels delivered by the manufacturer may only be mounted if the following conditions are met:

• the respective walls in the building have fully dried,• sufficient air space has been provided behind the panels,• the substructure allows for mounting the panels in a distance of approx. 500 mm, and• the substructure and the expansion joints are in accordance with the materials’ shrinking and swelling behaviour.

For a panel length of 2,000 mm, we recommend a joint of no less than 5 mm!

If you disregard the above aspects when mounting the panels, warping and possibly damage to the panels may occur. This will not be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty!

What are the benefits of sound-absorption systems?

Contemporary architecture uses many reverberative materials, for example stone, concrete, glass, and aluminum.

To achieve agreeable room acoustics, it is therefore necessary to install sound absorbers.

Besides meeting all technical requirements, sound-absorbing systems must leave leeway for architectural design.

The ALPHA AKUSTIK element comes up to this double function as a provider of good room acoustics and a design feature.

The product developed by Staudigel can be used as ceiling or wall paneling or as furniture doorsets. It is available on a per-order basis with veneer, printed veneer or painted surface.

Mounting

• There are various ways to fix the Alpha Akustik panels to the wall and the ceiling.

• Generally, the mounting method must always be carefully adapted to the properties of the respective type of panel and material.

• For technical support, see the examples for mounting methods and substructures in the diagrams below.

This is not a full list of mounting techniques as there are many more installation systems available on the market.

If you have any questions on mounting techniques, please contact Staudigel.

Oberstes waagrechtes Einhängeprofil mit min. 120 mm Abstand zur Deckenunterkante montieren. In dieses Einhängeprofil senkrechte Einhängeprofile einhängen und Montage-höhen weiterer waagrechter Einhängeprofile anreißen.

Bei Paneelwänden mit Fugen von links nach rechts arbeiten.Fugenprofile können vor oder nach dem Einhängen des Paneels aufgeclipst werden.

Auf Paneel senkrechte Einhängeprofile (Oberkante bündig) montieren und an der Paneel-Unterkante ablängen.

General Terms and Conditions

I. Scope:

1. Our delivery obligation is exclusively defined by the order confirmation in writing. Any ancillary agreements and modifications must be confirmed by us in writing.2. The customer’s purchasing terms are not binding for us.3. For interior fitting work, the regulations of VOB/B (German construction contract procedures) apply in addition.

II. Prices and terms of payment:

1. The prices are understood ex works Veitshöchheim.2. The payment is due 30 days after date of invoice. If cash discount has been agreed upon, the payment is due within 10 days after date of invoice.3. If bills of exchange are accepted, bank discount charges and collection fees will become payable from the date the invoice is due.4. International business transactions are made on a cash against documents basis and are subject to German law. The customer shall open an irrevocable letter of credit.5. The customer cannot terminate the contract unless we agree to such termination. In case of termination, we are entitled to demand payment of the agreed remuneration less any expenses saved, but no less than 20% of the agreed price. The burden of proof of smaller damage lies with the customer.

III. Period of delivery:

1. If delivery is delayed for reasons attributable to us, the customer may withdraw from the contract after expiry of a reasonable grace period of no less than 6 weeks, to be determined by the customer.

IV. Liability in tort

1. Claims in tort are excluded, unless the damage was caused deliberately or by gross negligence. This applies also to our assistants and vicarious agents.

V. Warranty

1. Any defects must be claimed before use or commingling of the goods supplied by us. Justified complaints shall be asserted immediately in writing. Any substantiated defects in the delivery item attributable to defects in material or workmanship shall be remedied by us within the 6 months warranty period by reworking or, at our discretion, by replacement delivery against return of the defective delivery item. Should reworking or replacement delivery be impossible, the customer has the right to withdraw from the contract after expiry of a reasonable grace period.2. In respect of further claims and rights, we take liability only in case of intent and gross negligence. All other liability is excluded.

VI. Retention of title

1. We reserve title in all delivered goods until fulfillment of all payment obligations.2. The customer has the right to sell, commingle and/or process the goods in the frame of its regular and usual business transactions. Retention of title remains effective in case of commingling and/or processing and applies prorata to the newly created item. In case of resale, that part of the customer’s claim against its buyers that corresponds to the resale value of the goods subject to retention of title is considered assigned with precedence over the rest until complete settlement by the customer of all our claims.

VII. Place of performance and legal venue:

1. Place of performance is Veitshöchheim.2. Provided the ordering party is a registered merchant, legal venue is Würzburg.

Should a clause be or become invalid, the validity of the other clauses remains unaffected.
