The Pikes Peak Council has worked hard to keepthe cost of scouting as low as possible for ourfamilies. Our council is fiscally sound, however it isimportant that we continually review our financialstructure in order to guarantee the longevity of ourlocal council programs and resources. One of the largest expenses that the Pikes PeakCouncil has each year is our insurance package. The total cost of insurance paid by the Pikes PeakCouncil is over 80% of Family Investment inCharacter.

WHY A COUNCIL FEE?

Only 14% of families participate in FamilyInvestment in Character.Pikes Peak Council has seen a 20% reduction instaff since 2018.In the last two years (2018-2019) The Pikes PeakCouncil has reduced planned expenses by over$280,000 due to declining support and revenue.
