Business Connect Business Connect works in conjunction with the online directory. This is an easy to use, business-to-business and consumer-to-business service for members. Members and non-members can find the products and services they want and have businesses compete for their business.

By visiting the “Directory” icon at the top right hand side of the homepage, you will land on the Chamber’s online directory. Here you can click on “Business Connect” to access a form request for new business. Select a product or service category that you are seeking and click once on the submit button at the bottom of the page. It may take up to 48 hours for your request to be processed. Chamber businesses that may meet your needs will then respond to your request for more information.

M2M Coupons A great way to generate business-to-business sales is to offer discounts to other Chamber members. Often an overlooked tool, it’s a great way for Chamber businesses to support one another.

Creating and editing a Member To Member (M2M) Coupon is fast and easy. Simply login to your company account through the “Member Login” link at the top right corner of our website. Click on “Edit Coupons” below the navigation tabs to edit or create a new coupon. At the bottom of the coupon form, click the “Save” button. It may take up to 48 hours for your coupon to be generated. You can also view other M2M coupons by selecting “Browse our members-only discounts and services” under the “Members Only” welcome screen. Print the coupon and redeem at the participating member business.

Updating Your Company Profile When you log in to your account, you have the ability to update your member profile and preferences. This includes updating your company address, telephone number, preferred method of contact (either phone or email), and add, delete or edit employees. This ensures that your company contact information is listed correctly in the online directory. Here you can also indicate which employees should receive communication from the Chamber. To update your profile, log in to your company account through the “Member Login” link at the top right corner of the website. On the “Members Only” welcome screen, click on “Update your member profile and preferences” or “Update Your Contact Information.” After making changes, hit the “Save Change Request” button at the bottom of the page. It may take up to 48 hours for changes to take effect.

Paying Invoices Online If your company has an invoice due, you can easily pay the invoice online. Through our secured server, log in to your account through the “Member Login” link at the top right corner of the website. On the “Members Only” welcome screen, click on “Pay Your Bills” below the navigation tabs to access invoice(s).

Community CalendarIf your company wants to draw attendees to an upcoming event, such as an open house, ribbon cutting, networking opportunity or social gathering, upload your event to the Chamber Community Calendar! Submitting an event is easy. Visit the “Events” navigation tab at the top of the Chamber website. Click “Submit a Community Event” and fill out the request form. Click the “Submit Event” button at the bottom of the page. It may take up to 48 hours for your event to be listed and is subject to approval. You can also view community events by clicking on the “Community Calendar” link under the “Events” navigation tab.

To read any of our back or current newsletters, visit the “News” navigation tab at the top of the Chamber website. • Julie Hurbanis has been promoted to executive vice president in the consumer marketing practice at Weber Shandwick, Minneapolis. The firm also received the Silver Anvil award and a Silver Anvil Award for Excellence from the Public Relations Society of America. The agency has also been named Global Agency of the Year for the second year in a row, acknowledged as “the largest and strongest PR brand in the world.” In addition, the Minneapolis office and its clients won both Silver and Bronze SABRE Awards at the annual U.S. SABRE Award ceremony in New York City. • Brian Kennedy has been named the vice president and general manager of WCCO-TV.

• In a new initiative designed to enhance benefit and reward packages of community businesses, Genisys Credit Union has partnered with Cleary University to offer tuition grants specifically

• Arc Greater Twin Cities is seeking to raise $3.5 million by the end of 2011 to expand its Twin Cities thrift store operations. The North St. Paul School Board honored Value Village, Saint Paul, with an achievement award on May 18 for providing vocational skills training to students in the Next Step Transition Program.

• The Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal took two first place honors at the 2010 page One Awards presented by the Minnesota Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
