NATIONAL AWARDS TO THE VICTORS IN SOCIALIST COMPETITION V. I. Artemov The workers in enterprises and organizations belonging to the USSR Gosstandart, having been included in the All-Union Socialist Competition, have marked the third year of the Five-Year Plan by shock work on putting into action the historic decisions of the 24th Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. The state plan and the Socialist obligations of 1973 were fulfilled ahead of schedule in respect of all the main indicators. For their high production indicators, attained in the third decisive year of the Five-Year Plan, a large group of workers and engineering and technical employees, serving in enterprises and organizations of the USSR Gosstandart have been awarded high government decorations. The highest government decoration-- the Order of Lenin-- has been awarded to V. I. Taratorin, a metalworker and mechanic ofVNIIFTRI, a specialistof the highest class, and a shock worker of Communist labor. Taratorin fulfils his production assignments by 135-150% . Ahead of schedule, on the 20th December 1973 he completed the four-year assignment of the ninth Five-Year Plan and has long been working on his 1975 schedule. Taratorin took part in the Great Fatherland War. For his military exploits he was decorated with six government awards. Now to his orders for his battle prowess there has been added the highest award won in peacetime labor. V. Taratorin suc- cessfully combines his production activity with public work - he is the leader of the Party group on the shop floor. The Order of the October Revolution has been awarded to A. V. Kharchenko, a metal worker at the Voronezh experimental plant "Standard." He fulfills his production assigm~ents by 130%. He completed the annual plan for 1973 in ten months. Kharchenko is a shock worker of Communist labor, and an active rationalizer. In 1972-73 he put forward 13 rationalizing proposals whose introduction into production enabled the plant to save %000 rubles. Kharchenko was in the Great Fatherland War, and was decorated with three government awards. He takes an active part in public life- he is a member of the Party bureau and the plant committee of his trade union. The Order of the Red Banner of Labor has been awarded to 17 leading workers in the system of the USSR Gos- standart. Among them: metal worker V. F. Solov'ev from the Volgograd experimental plant "Standard. u He is a shock worker of Communist labor. He fulfills his production assignments by 110-115~ and always with outstanding quality. Solov'ev had completed by the 20th of August 1973 the plan for three years of the ninth Five-Year Plan. Comrade Solov'ev combines his outstanding work successfully with public work. He has for a long time been a member of his plant committee of his trade union. S. G. Ivanov, a metal worker from the Leningrad plant "Standard" belonging to the D. I. Mendeleev VNIIM, is a veteran of the enterprise. He fulfills his production assignments by 125-130% . His work is distinguished not only by high productivity but also by good quality. The goods manufactured by him are accepted at first presenta- tion. Now Comrade Ivanov has obtained a personal mark of recognition and products released by him always receive the highest evaluation. For the outstanding indicators in his work he has been awarded the titles: "Shock worker of Communist labor," and "Best in his profession Y Comrade Ivanov also takes an active part in public work- he is a member of the Party bureau. Milling machine operator V. I. Denisenko of the Khar'kov experimental plant "Instrument" is a specialist of the highest class. He fulfills his production assignments by 130-140%. Comrade Denisenko has already for a long time been working on his 1975 schedule. This has to no small degree been helped by his active rationalizing activity. Many of the improvements he worked out he made not only to raise labor productivity, but also to simplify technology, and raise the quality of manufactured goods. He bears with honor the tide "Shock worker of Communist labor." M. K. Yurehik, a metal worker of the Mimk experimantal plant "Standard," is a veteran of the plant. He fulfills his everyday assignments by 140-150%. Comrade Yurchik has fulfilled the plan for the third decisive year of the ninth Five-Year Plan ahead of schedule by the 1st of November 19'73, and he is at present working on the schedule for the third quarter of 19q4. He is a shock worker of Communist labor, and a victory in socialist com- petition for the title "Best in the profession." His name has been inscribed in the Book of Honor.

For her high indicators in her work, recognition has also been accorded to T. I. Tskimashurika, an electrician at the Tbilisi plant "Agat." She fulfills her production assignments by 130-150%, and takes an active part in public life. For her outstanding work she has also been decorated with the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.

The work of O. S. Denisenko, a metal worker at the instrument-repairing plant at Donetsk, has also justly been highly valued. She is a shock worker of Communist labor. She fulfills her production assignments by 110-120%. She completed the plan for the third decisive year of the ninth Five-Year Plan ahead of schedule by the BOth of October 1973. She has been decorated with the Order "Symbol of Honor."

The decoration of workers of the USSR Gosstandart with orders and medals is a recognition by the Soviet state of the labor services, and the great successes of the personnel of the system in ful~lling and overfulfilling the plans for the third decisive year of the ninth Five-Year Plan and their socialist obligations.

In honoring the victors of socialist competition, the workers of the USSR Gosstandart system have undertaken new increased obligations for fulfillment ahead of schedule of the plans for the fourth determining year of the Five-

Year Plan.
