Hypnosis can be brought about in many ways. The "progressive relaxation" induction makes use of the increased suggestibility of a relaxing subject. The more rapid methods of induction, however, make use of different techniques, such as shock, confusion or interruption. By the way, the instant induction falls into the Rapid category. I believe there is a distinction though; rapid inductions are best used in therapeutic situations and can take anywhere from 10 seconds to 4 minutes. The instant induction is more for stage hypnosis, demonstrations, and parties. You can take someone into a deep trance in one or two seconds. A word of warning; the success of the instant induction is dependent on a number of things; firstly, the suggestibility of the subject. Some subjects are what we call somnambulistic, this simply means that they are capable of reaching very deep levels of trance and usually very quickly. Secondly, is the subject’s belief in the ability of the hypnotist; this is a very important thing to remember as you begin to induce the trance state. If a subject doubts your ability then they are not very likely to go into trance. That’s why you are best advised to stick with the "progressive relaxation" induction process until you have managed to make a name for yourself and people actually know that you have the ability to hypnotize somebody. However, you can overcome this by creating "hype" for yourself. In the early days hype before a hypnotic show would begin to appear weeks and sometimes months before the show with daunting posters billed all over town showing the hypnotist glaring down with piercing eyes. The caption would usually challenge, "Dare you look into his eyes and not obey his every command?" This method of creating hype proved very successful in the early days and as the show grew closer, excitement would build and people would dare one another to be put under the hypnotist’s spell. Then, on the night of the show, everybody would be seated in the theatre and, as the lights went down, a mixture of fear and excitement would engulf the audience. Suddenly, in the eerie silence a single spotlight would appear at the edge of the stage.

Page 3: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

The hypnotist would stride to the centre of the stage and turn to the audience. With arms outstretched the hypnotist would sweep the entire theatre, electrifying the onlookers with his power. The hypnotist would stand on the stage dominating the whole of the audience with his intimidating glare. He would stand tall and dressed from head to toe in mysterious black; his menacing face would come to a point at his chin as his 'goatee' style beard echoed that of the devil. His hair slicked back ready for business allowed full access to those piercing eyes and as he passed his hands back over the audience an explosive whisper could be heard throughout the whole theatre. "He's doing something to me, he's doing something to me." would be the cry of the vulnerable, and as the hypnotist preyed on his reluctant, but brave, victims the fear of what was about to be was nearly enough in itself to produce trance in even the least suggestible of people! This method of creating hype worked wonders for the hypnotist of its time. However, such a demonstration would be useless today. People are beginning to accept that hypnosis is a natural phenomenon now and, probably due to television coverage, people are becoming more knowledgeable about the whole subject. This is not a problem for the hypnotist as the fact that hypnosis is commonly used in the medical profession gives the whole subject more credibility, so the need for hype is not so important. If you are (or want to be) a stage hypnotist all you need is confidence and flyers. , IMPORTANT Do not follow the induction techniques if you suffer from epilepsy or clinical depression. The induction processes used in this publication are not suitable for medical or psychiatric treatment.

FOREWORD Principles of Rapid Inductions Rapid inductions are one of the most popular subjects in hypnosis. People are fascinated by the idea that you can hypnotize someone and reach deep levels of trance in instant. There are a number of factors that go into a successful rapid or instant induction. I've broken them down for you below. Permission/Commitment Rapid inductions will work with a much higher percentage of people if you get their permission and commitment first. There's an easy way to get this permission and commitment; you simply ask for it! Here are some examples of how to ask for permission and get that commitment: "Are you willing to be hypnotized?" "Will you instantaneously follow my instructions?" If you get anything less than a fully congruent "yes," question them further to make sure they are truly willing. If they are not, move on to someone else. The Pre-Induction Talk One thing that can interfere with instant inductions is fear. If the client doesn't want to go into trance because they're afraid, they will resist you every step of the way. If you're working with someone who has not yet experienced formal hypnosis, do a full pre-induction talk. If you are working with someone who has experienced hypnosis and is willing to experience it again, just go over the main points briefly. Expectation The more a person expects instantaneous hypnosis to happen, the more likely it will be to happen. Part of building a sense of expectation is explaining clearly what is going to happen. "I'm going to shake your hand three times. When I shake your hand for

Page 5: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

the third time, close your eyes, let your head fall forward, and go into a deep, deep state of powerful relaxation." By clearly explaining what the client is to do, you help to create images in the mind's eye of the subject. These images help build the expectation of the subject. If at all possible, give the subject a demonstration of what is going to happen. If you're working as a hypnotherapist in an office and plan to use rapid inductions as part of your clinical practice, make a videotape of yourself hypnotizing several people with rapid methods. Set it up as a tape loop in your waiting room (If you have one) and let them watch it as they come in the door. If you're working with a group of subjects, do some suggestibility tests to pick out the fastest responding subjects, and do rapid inductions with those highly responsive subjects first. By working with a highly responsive subjects first, you'll build the expectations of others. The more confident you are with the techniques of rapid inductions, the better they will work. If the subject has the sense that you know what you're doing, it will go a long way toward your inductions being successful. Ritual There is always some ritual involved in instant or rapid inductions (or any induction for that matter). In general terms, the ritual is a very simple linkage. "When x happens you go instantaneously into a deep trance." You link some event, to the subject going instantaneously into a trance. It doesn't really matter what the event is (with the exception of the disorientation induction below). SEE IF YOU CAN RECOGNIZE THESE FACTORS.IN THE INDUCTIONS IN THIS LITTLE BOOK

INTRODUCTION Disorientation Human beings have a powerful ability to react quickly. When something unexpectedly comes toward your face, you don't have to think about blinking, it just happens. The conscious mind is too slow to react quickly enough to emergency events. The unconscious mind has powerful survival and protective programs built in. These programs kick in whenever the unconscious mind thinks they need to. One of the side effects of the unconscious programming kicking in is that the conscious mind gets set aside, usually for just a brief instant. For this instant, the unconscious mind is particularly receptive to suggestion. One of the fastest ways to get these unconscious programs to kick in and the conscious mind to take a hike is to put a person slightly off balance for a moment. The instant we lose our orientation our unconscious mind takes over. This can be true mentally as well is physically. If we disorient someone mentally and then offer suggestions that lead toward trance it is called a "confusion induction." The physical version is much faster. Most of the instantaneous inductions involve some slight physical disorientation. Usually that is achieved by a slight tug on the arm or on the back of the neck. Caution: do not use these techniques on anyone who has had any kind of back, neck or musculoskeletal problem. Furthermore, I am not talking about some huge jerk of the arm or neck. We're talking about just enough of a tug to get the person off-balance. Use your judgment! If you have any doubt as to whether you might harm someone, use another method. In the second or so that the person is disoriented, you need to

Page 9: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

instruct them. "Sleep" is a word that usually gets the idea across. Keeping It Going You'll want to continue delivering suggestions, rapid-fire, in order to keep the process going. Left to themselves, people will usually reorient within a few seconds. In order to prevent that, immediately give instructions about relaxing and going deeper etc. "Sleep. Relaxing fully and completely. Let your muscles grow loose and limp. Really let go." After three or four seconds of rapid-fire suggestions you can slow down.

Page 10: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

THE STEPS This is one of my favorites. See if you can recognize the Principles: Spoken to the subject: : "I'm going to shake your hand three times. The first time I shake your hand concentrate on your eyes getting get droopy, drowsy, and heavy. They will want to close, but don't close them yet. The second time I shake your hand concentrate on your eyes getting heavier and drowsier and droopier - it will be as if you're up way too late at night. They will blink slowly and want to stay closed, but don't let them stay closed yet. The third time I shake your hand, your eyes will close down and they'll be so heavy you'll just allow them to stay closed. As they close down, I'll say the word 'sleep' and you'll go into a deep, wonderful state of relaxation." As you shake their hand, repeat the instructions. First handshake: "Droopy, drowsy and heavy - don't let them close yet." instantaneously. Second handshake: "Heavier, and drowsier, and droopier - as if you've been up way too late at night. (Subject blinks slowly) That's right; don't let them stay closed yet." Third handshake: "Your eyes can feel so heavy that you'll just allow them to stay closed," (subject closes eyes). At this point, pull the hand downward and forward and say "sleep" firmly (in your best "ordering" tone of voice). Immediately give further instructions. "Let your head fall forward on your chest, relax deeply, really let go." In this example we've used shaking the hand three times as the ritual for going into trance. We've linked hand shaking with trance by merely asking the subject to accept the idea. We, of

Page 11: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

course, reinforce the idea with repetition. The ritual doesn't have to be a handshake. It can be anything. It could be drinking a glass of water, taking deep breaths, or anything your creative mind can come up with. Whatever it is, you simply link the action or event to going into trance.

STEP ONE When I use the term, “Instant Inductions,” I am talking about inductions that take your clients into a deep state of hypnosis instantly. This is what the professional use of hypnosis requires. There are at least four parts to such an induction: 1) focus your subject’s attention, 2) instant redirection of focus (usually a startling stimulus), 3) the word, “sleep,” and 4) instantly deepen the hypnotic state or your client will emerge. I use this next one often also. I picked it up from Cal Banyon. He calls it "The 8 Word Induction: 1)Say "Press on my hand" Instruct the client to press down on the therapist’s outstretched hand While she is pressing down, have your client close her eyes, giving the client two tasks to focus her attention on. 2)Say "Close your eyes" While the client is pressing down on the therapist’s hand with her eyes closed, the therapist’s hand is suddenly removed, creating the startle response which lasts for a very short period of time, two seconds at the most. During the “instant” your client is in a state of high suggestibility. Pull your hand out and your subject's hand suddenly falls. 3) Instantly in a directive tone say, "Sleep! And as I gently rock your head you go deeper..." The word, “SLEEP,” is said in an authoritative tone and delivery, which instantly induces a deep state of hypnosis. However, if this suggestion is not immediately followed by further suggestions for deepening, your client will emerge. 4) Short and simple suggestions for deepening, such as “go limp and relaxed, continuing to relax further with every breath. As I gently rock your head, your neck relaxes and that feeling of relaxation moves through your entire body.”

Page 13: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

In its shortest form, it is a powerful and reliable induction that can consist of only 8 words, ”Press on my hand. Close your eyes… Sleep!” Certainly, more can be done to make the induction look more dramatic (which is something you may want to do in a demonstration or if you are doing stage hypnosis). But the beauty of the instant induction is its sheer simple elegance, so I prefer to keep it as short and simple as it can be. I firmly believe that the shorter the induction is, the more reliable it will be, all other things being equal. Variations on this simple theme are endless, and once you understand the four essential parts (focus, startle response, “sleep” and deepening) you can go on to create your own versions. The one weakness of the induction is that it does not have a test for depth of hypnosis in it. This is why I recommend that after the initial deepening has been performed, that you borrow a procedure from the Dave Elman induction. Suggest that the client now relax her mind, by counting and relaxing her mind more and more with each number, until they have faded away to nothing. When your client fades the numbers away, you have guided your client into a hypnotic state equivalent (at least) to the threshold of somnambulism or deeper. The losing of the numbers is evidence of amnesia by suggestion, a well accepted test for the threshold of somnambulism. After achieving the threshold of somnambulism, I recommend that you perform a simple deepening, like counting down from 1 to 5 with suggestion of going deeper. Do this and you will have her in a wonderful state for doing even the most powerful hypnotic techniques, such as hypnotic age regression (with true revivification). A few words of caution is in order. Because this instant induction requires a hand drop which initially startles your client, you would be ill-advised to use it on someone who is suffering from shoulder, back neck problems or any client with a history of heart problems. Also, this induction does require that you touch your client. Some hypnotherapists prefer not to do so. And, in some rare occasions a client may not be willing to give permission to be touched.

Page 14: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

Although in my experience, most clients are willing to be touched on the hand, arm, shoulder and forehead as part of a hypnosis session. If the laws where you practice do not allow you to touch your clients, then you would be unable to use this induction method. Remember, conducting a good pre-talk with your clients is an essential part of the hypnosis process. This is especially true when using instant inductions. Your clients must understand that hypnosis is safe and natural. They must also understand that it is important to follow your instructions. Consider adding instant inductions to your practice. They are simple, effective and highly reliable. I believe that they always work! Isn’t that what you have always wanted out of a hypnotic induction anyway?

Page 15: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

STEP TWO Now that we have firm evidence that the Anteriot Cingulate Gyrus is the area of the brain most involved in producing the hypnotic trance state, the induction of hypnosis can be made quickly by asking clients to close their eyes, imagine the colour yellow all over the visual field, change it to red, and at the same time imagine that the whole body has disappeared. Within moments, the person is in a deep trance. (Any colour change will do). No spirals, waving key chains, or long inductions. I'm starting to use this technique, and am amazed at how quickly people are trance induced. The reason is, that the ACG is central to the hypnotic state, and is also the central area for analysing perceptions. By getting this area to work on a task, such as changing the perception of imagined colour, and at the same time suggesting that body image perception is turned off, the client's ACG is stimulated and the trance induced. Fractionation can turn the ACG response off and on thereby deepening the trance by training the ACG to change status rapidly. Experimentation with brain scans using MRI are proceeding, but the work is expensive. At last there is a neurological explanation for hypnosis, and hypnotists can leave all the psychic mumbo-jumbo behind. There should no longer be religious or spiritual objections to hypnosis. It has nothing to do with demonology or psychic phenomenon. It is purely a state of brain status and the client is being taught how to achieve the hypnotic state by the hypnotist, who is teaching the client to use self monitoring bio-feedback to enter the trance. Suggestions given during the trance are part of the skill that the practitioner must acquire to be an effective therapist. More information on the ACG is available on the web and in some of the latest journals.

Page 16: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

Without having tried it on others, I think I would ask people for their favorite and least favourite color. Ask them to imagine their least favorite color and then change it to their favourite color; possibly easier to do and a nice metaphor for the changes that will happen!

Page 17: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

STEP THREE Here's one that I like a lot. I don't rember where I picked it up, but, it has Gill Boyne written all over it: Instructions to hypnotist Begin by having the subject hold their arms stretched out directly in front of them, so that the palms of the hands are facing each other. Have the hands about 6 inches apart. Spoken to the subject You may now lower your hands back to your side. In just a moment I am going to have you bring your hands back to this position, and you will find it very easy to go into a deep pleasant level of hypnosis in just a matter of seconds. Would this be alright with you? (You must have the subjects consent before proceeding any further) Now close your eyes, and take in a couple of deep easy breaths. Hold each breath for a moment and then exhale slowly. In just a moment I am going to have you extend your arms in front of you, just as you had them a moment ago. When I ask you to move your hands to this position I am then going to have you open your eyes, and follow my simple instructions. Remaining relaxed, and at ease, I want you to extend your arms out in front of you just as you had them earlier. (After subject extends their arms adjust the distance between the hands to about six inches. Hold your index finger at eye level, and instruct subject to follow the movement of your finger. Slowly move your index finger between their hands) Now I want you to concentrate on my finger. In just a moment I am going to move my finger away, and I want you to begin to concentrate on the spot where my finger was. (Quickly move your finger in a downward motion)

Page 18: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

You are doing good. Keep concentrating on the spot where my finger used to be. I am going to begin to count from 3 down to 1. On the count of one allow your eyes to close. Three, your eyes are feeling heavy, and tired. Two, they are beginning to water, and tear slightly. One, so heavy just allow them to close, and relax. Even with your eyes closed you can still imagine that spot between your hands. I am now gently touching your hands, and as I do notice that your hands are beginning to move together. In just a moment your hands will touch. As they touch your entire body will feel loose, and limp. You will be going into a very deep hypnotic state. The hands are moving closer, and closer. The moment that they touch the whole body becomes lose and limp. You will be going into a very special kind of sleep. Almost there get ready to let go. The moment that they touch you go into a very deep special type of sleep. (As the hands move together, have your hands in a position that will allow you to lightly slap the outside of the subjects hands, and thus pushing them together. You must be ready the moment that the subjects hands touch. At the exact moment when the subjects hands touch, rapidly, and firmly slap the two hands together while giving the command to sleep. At the same moment lightly apply a downward motion to the subjects hands. This will cause the subject to bend at the waist. Allow the arms to dangle at the subjects side) " IN A MOMENT I'M GOING TO HYPNOTIZE YOU, IT WILL TAKE LESS THAN A SECOND...."

Page 19: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

STEP FOUR (Two-Finger Technique) Spoken to the subject: "Rest your arms limply on your thighs, feet flat on floor. I want you to look at my hand. In a moment I'm going to bring my hand up in front of your eyes." (Demonstrate bringing index and middle finger of right hand, in a pointing V position, to a position just above their eyebrows.) "When I do, I'll pass my hand down in front of your eyes. Keep your eyes fixed on my fingers. As I pass my hand down, let your eyelids close." (Bring hand straight down, one finger moving down over each eye.) "Close your eyelids down." “Now your eyelids are closed. I want you to relax every tiny muscle and nerve in and around your eyelids. I want you to relax them so much that they wouldn't work even if you wanted them to." "When you know that you've relaxed them so much they wouldn't work even if you wanted them to test them." (7f they open their eyes, tell them to relax them again, this time more completely and test again. If they don 't open their eyes, pause three seconds and continue.) "All right, that's fine. Stop trying and just relax and go deeper. Now I'm going to raise your right hand. I will do it by grasping your thumb in my fingers." (Grasp thumb between thumb and index finger.) "As I lift your hand, let it hang limply in my fingers, (Slightly rock arm back and forth) then, when I drop it, let it drop like a wet, limp rag. When your hand touches your body, send a wave or relaxation from the top of your head down to the tips of your toes. That will double your present level of relaxation." (Lift hand, rocking it) "Let it hang loose and limp. When drop it. Let it drop like a wet, limp rag. And as it touches your body, send a wave of relaxation from the top of your head to the tip of your toes." (Drop hand) "Double your current level of relaxation."

Page 20: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

“Now, I'm going to pick up your left hand. As I take your thumb, just let it hang limply." (Slightly rock arm back and forth) "When I drop it, let it drop like a wet, limp rag. When it touches your body, send another wave of relaxation from the top of your head to the tips of your toes and double your present level of relaxation." (Drop hand) “Now, your body is relaxed and I'm going to show you how to relax your mind. The next time I touch your forehead, I want you to begin counting backward, slowly, from one hundred. With each number you say, double your mental relaxation. After you have counted just a few numbers your mind becomes so relaxed, you find the rest of them relaxing out of your mind." "All right, get ready." (Tap subject on forehead) "Begin counting." (As they count down make appropriate comments... "Slowly now" "Wonderful" "Double that relaxation" “Now let them grow dim and distant." "Let them relax right out of your mind." When they pause say... "All gone?" not "Are the numbers gone?" this could call the numbers back into focus. If they are still counting but are lethargic say, "Let them all fade completely away." (After subject has stopped counting, continue with a deepening technique and test.)

Page 21: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

STEP FIVE Modified Dave Elman Induction (This version © Donald Robertson 2000) This method of inducing hypnotic trance was developed by the famous US hypnotist Dave Elman. It has gained popularity with modern hypnotherapists because of its ability to create deep trances, and test for responsiveness, extremely quickly and reliably. The method generally consists of the following stages, interspersed with direct suggestions of deepening relaxation: 1. Deep breath and eye closure. 2. Arm heaviness test (dropping arm to test for loss of muscle tension). 2. Eye catalepsy test (suggestion that subject is unable to open eyes). 3. "Fractionation" of trance by repeated eye closure. 4. "Losing the numbers", deepener for mental relaxation and test for amnesia. 5. "Elevator deepener" (optional). Elman Induction Script (Adapted) Just begin by making yourself comfortable. Rest your feet flat on the floor and rest your hands on your lap, or by your side. Now, rest your awareness on those eyelids once again. Even though the eyelids are closed down comfortably already, imagine they are closing down all over again, even more heavy and tired and lazy than before. Now relax those eyelids right down to the point where it feels as if they just don't work anymore. When you know you've done that, make a test and find you've succeeded and they feel as if they're sealing shut. Push harder against that relaxation and find the harder you try to make the effort the more lazy and tired and relaxed those eyelids are becoming right now. Now stop trying, send a wave of relaxation right down into that

Page 22: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

part of you that was trying to make the effort. You're eyelids aren't really sealed shut, it just feels as if they are. That's a good sign, you're relaxing very deeply. Now, I'm going to help you to relax even more deeply, and those is how I'm going to do it. In a moment I'll count 1, 2, 3, when I reach the number three you can open your eyes for a second before I gesture and say the word "sleep." When I say the word "sleep", just allow your eyelids to close down and find you're going back, even deeper into hypnosis than before. Beginning now, 1, 2, 3... opening those eyelids, ready now, "sleep", relaxing much deeper than before, two times deeper... Good... Once again, 1, 2, 3, opening those eyelids, ready now, "sleep", relaxing much deeper than before, two times deeper... Good... One more time now, 1, 2, 3, opening those eyelids, ready now, "sleep", relaxing much deeper than before, two times deeper again... Good. Now you're relaxing the body very deeply, and as you relax the body you're relaxing the mind. Now, I'm going to help you to relax the mind even more deeply and this is how I'm going to do it. In a moment I want you to begin counting down backwards from 100, counting out loud, and repeating the words "deeper and deeper" after each number. Each time you say the words "deeper and deeper", you're doubling the relaxation of your mind, especially the counting part of your mind. By the time you've counted just a few of those numbers, to 95 or even 96, you'll find you've succeeded in relaxing your mind so deeply that you just can't be bothered even trying to locate those numbers, they've vanished completely, forgotten from your mind. Start counting now, losing the numbers to relaxation as you count, beginning now... [Intersperse suggestions of deepening until subject stops counting.] That's it. Good. Now relax even more deeply, and as you do so make an effort and try to locate those forgotten numbers and find that you've succeeded, they've faded completely from the mind. Haven't you?

Page 23: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

Now drop your head forward slightly and roll your eyes up and back as though you were looking toward a point in your forehead. That's a bit of a strain but keep it up. Now, inhale deeply, filling your lungs all the way up as you continue to look up and back. Pause for a few seconds. Now keep looking up and allow your eyelids to grow heavy and close down... as you exhale slowly and patiently. Good, now send a huge wave of relaxation from the top of your head down to the tip of your toes. Let all of your muscles turn loose, and limp and wonderfully relaxed... just like a rag doll. This induction should take no longer than 4 minutes tops. Any longer than that, it loses it's power. And once you've put a client through this "long" version, you'll have no trouble dropping him into deep subnamulism anytime in the future using just about any instant method.

Page 24: My Favorite Rapid and Instant Inductions

STEP SIX The Hand Drop Induction Extend your hand palm facing up. Ask your client to place his hand on top of yours and instruct him to push down (hold your hand close to your body for leverage while the client extends his hand far, so it is more difficult for him to push you down). Say to client: “Keep pushing down throughout this process. Fix your gaze on my eye. In a moment, I will start counting from ten to one. On or before the count of “one” your hand will drop down and you will instantly close your eyes and enter a deep state of hypnosis (make sure the client will not get hurt by the arm of the chair of any other obstacle)”. Your client’s hand will swing down with some force and a loss of equilibrium may occur, so make sure you are prepared and have your client’s safety at heart. Nine - Eight - keep your pressure on my hand, Seven – take a deep breath, Six – keep your eyes fixed on me, Five – keep the pressure, Four – eyes getting tired want to close, Three – take a deep breath keep the pressure, Two – Take a deep breath” At this point, before the client completes the inhale, slide your hand away in one swift motion, and at the same time, in a firm voice, command “SLEEP!” Start counting slowly: “Ten- you may find that your eyes are getting tired and tend to blink and want to close but try and keep them open until you go into a deep hypnosis.

STEP SEVEN Begin by having the subject hold their arms stretched out directly in front of them, so that the palms of the hands are facing each other. Have the hands about 6 inches apart. In just a moment I am going to have you bring your hands back to this position, and you will find it very easy to go into a deep pleasant level of hypnosis in just a matter of seconds. Would this be all right with you? (You must have the subjects consent before proceeding any further) Now close your eyes, and take in a couple of deep easy breaths. Hold each breath for a moment and then exhale slowly. In just a moment I am going to have you extend your arms in front of you, just as you had them a moment ago. Slowly move your index finger between their hands) Now I want you to concentrate on my finger. In just a moment I am going to move my finger away, and I want you to begin to concentrate on the spot where my finger was. (Quickly move your finger in a downward motion) You are doing good. Keep concentrating on the spot where my finger used to be.
