What was the inspiration?
• PG Cert Learning & Teaching in Higher Education
• Needed a break from all the talking
• Trying out something different
How does it work?
• Do a presentation or a tour
• Then get the students to sit in a circle
• Ask them to take it in turns to talk about an issue e.g. one thing I have found useful about the library
What’s the verdict?
• Active participation from students
• Equal opportunity to contribute
• Aids recall of information for students
• A break for the librarian• Instant feedback on
services• Works better with small
