Attention Customers All Mobile Homes require 4 Main Inspections

The Building Official must inspect and approve the lot where the mobile home is to be located.

A certified plumber (with a current city business license) must purchase a plumbing permit and connect the plumbing, waterlines, and sewer or septic tank before an inspection can be done .Gas must be connected by a certified gas fitter. All water and sewer trenches must remain open until released by the City of Alabaster Building Safety Department. A certified electrician (with a current city business license) must purchase an electrical permit and install the power meter pole and disconnect to the 2005 NEC codes before an electrical inspection can be done. Alabama Power will not run a service drop until approved and released by the City of Alabaster Building Safety Department.
