    Welcome to the Carmarthenshire Time Credits Brochurein this booklet you willbe able to find out where to spend your Time Credits.

    For every hour of time youve given, you will have received one Time Credit. Youcan now start spending any of yourTime Credits on selected activities at any ofthe Spices Time Credit partners in Carmarthenshire.

    Spice are working hard to ensure that there are lots of places where you can earnand spend your Time Credits; if you have any ideas about where you would like toearn and spend then please get in touch with you local Time Credits Facilitator.

    The Time Credit project is a partnership between Spice www.justaddspice.organd Carmarthenshire Communities First as part of the Community CurrenciesIn Action project part-funded through the Interreg IVB North West EuropeProgramme. Together we aim to create an active, reciprocal community wherepeople feel like their contributions are valued, where people feel connected andwhere citizens co-produce the changes they would like to see.

You can spend with any of the partners listed in the menu,Carmarthenshire as well as with a number of partners across theUK Wide network.     activities in your local area.

    Im the Time Credits facilitator in Carmarthenshire, Im excited to be workingwith housing services to embed Time Credits into its way of working. Byworking with local groups and organisations I hope that we will be able tore-build communities and ensure that everyone has an opportunity to getinvolved in activities in the area around them.

    How to book your place on a trip!If you would like to join others members on thefabulous trips and activities available in this menu, then its

    important to book you space as early as possible. Spacesare limited.

    Once youve decided where you would like to go, pleasecomplete a booking form available form your Time Brokerand then give that back to them with the appropriateTime Credits. You will then receive a confirmation that

    youve been booked on the trip.

    Coaches will only pick up from the designated pick uppoints, and will not wait for late arrivals. Please be there ontime.

    Places on all trips and activities are strictly limited and we

    cannot guarantee availability. Please follow instructions inthe menu to secure your place.

    The Parrot Music Bar & Cafe is a new venture situated at the top of King St

    in the historic Old Town quarter of Carmarthen.In the daytime they offer a friendly and relaxed cafe experience with freshhealthy food options and a licensed bar. At night there is a variety of enter-

    tainment from live music, DJs, comedy and one off events.

    Ffos Las has brought back top class racing to West Wales for the first time since

    1937. You can find us at the heart of Carmarthenshire between the towns Llanelli andCarmarthen, and near the city of Swansea.

    The 60 acre setting is magnificent. Surrounded by rolling hills and countryside and

    have views down the Gwendraeth Valley to Carmarthen Bay. It is almost impossible to

    believe that Ffos Las was the former site of the largest open cast coalmine in Europe.

    One of the main focal points here at Ffos Las has to be our amazing sculpture. Situ-

    ated in front of the Winners Enclosure, the Spirit of the Race sculpture provides the

    perfect meeting place as well as a great photo opportunity for all racegoers.

It is the base for passionately-supported professional team The Scarlets who compete at the highest level of Europeanrugby.

    The Scarlets were created from the original Llanelli RFC when Welsh elite rugby was re-structured a few years ago. Llanelli continue to thrive as a semi-pro club in the top flightof Welsh rugby. Both teams played at Stradey Park until October 2008. The followingmonth they both moved to the spectacular Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli.

    Mansion House

    About Mansion HouseThe Mansion House is located op-posite the Bank of England at

    BankJunction. Home and office of theLord Mayor of the City of London,

    this unique building was built in the age of Hogarth and is a rare survivingGeorgian town palace in central London. It was originally built to enable theLord Mayor to represent the City in appropriate style; it also acts as a symbolof the City of London as the worlds leading international financial and trad-ing centre. Although the Mansion House has undergone several redevelop-ments since it was built in 1758, it retains much of its original character.

    AvailabilityPublic Tours of Mansion House run on a Tuesday afternoon around twice a month;please ring to check availability and to book tickets.

    RestrictionsPublic Tours of Mansion House are not suitable for children under 12 and children belowthis age will not be admitted using Spice Time Credits.

    Please note that tours can be cancelled at short notice subject to thedemands on the building which is the home and office of the Lord Mayor of London. It isvital that members call in advance to check availability and that tours are running.
