Tell us about your history with Fuel Services, Inc.I actually began my career here at Fuel Services, Inc. when I was only 18 years old. My first winter I worked delivering oil with one of our veteran drivers. The following year I moved into customer service, and upon graduating, I was promoted to Outside Sales Associate for our HVAC Department. In this position I was fortunate enough to be able to work outside of the office the past four years and meet so many of the great customers we have here at Fuel Services! This year I was promoted to Vice President of Sales & Marketing and am working day and night to ensure that our customers have a pleasant and successful installation experience.

What can Fuel Services air conditioning service customers do this spring to prepare for A/C season?

One of the great aspects of our Company here is that we are a one-stop-shop for our customers. We have Technicians who specialize in both heating and cooling system optimization to ensure our customers’ systems are working as efficiently as possible. I would recommend calling the office and scheduling an annual tune-up for both their heating and cooling systems. This will ensure our customers use the smallest amount of energy as possible this upcoming year. We also offer year-round Maintenance Plans which include the annual tune-up and can pay for themselves in less than one service call! I encourage all customers to sign up for a Fuel Services Maintenance Plan.

How much can the average homeowner save on their summer cooling costs by having their A/C system tuned up each spring?Having your air conditioning system tuned up can pay for itself several times over in energy savings alone! As many of our customers have found out in the past, an improperly maintained air conditioning system can use over 30% MORE energy than a properly maintained system!

For new air conditioning systems, what types of products do you install, and which brands do you recommend?We install all types of systems: from mini-split heat pump systems (which can also offset heating costs in the winter) to complete central air ducted systems, we have certified Technicians on staff ready to install any system our customers may need. We install some of the best quality brands in the air conditioning market. We are proud to call ourselves Trane® Comfort Specialists – the only Comfort Specialist dealer in Western MA! We are both NATE Certified and QIV Certified which allows us to participate in the Mass Save® COOL SMART® Rebate Program as well as offer our customers 0% loans through MA Save if their local utility provider participates!

When is the best time for homeowners to schedule an installation of a new cooling system?Right now! There is absolutely no better time to install a new cooling system in a house than today! The warm weather is quickly approaching and if this summer is as extreme as this past winter, it is going to be long and HOT! Combine this with the available rebates and 0% loans through Mass Save. I don’t know of a better time for our customers to invest in a new cooling system.
