Creighton School of Wrestling Summer Camps 2011

June 20 – July 9 C A M P P H I L O S O P H Y

Coach Creighton believes that a successful summer program should offer wrestlers multi-week approach to reinforce previous learning while continuously adding new moves & tactics.

• Emphasis will be placed on learning high percentage takedown techniques. Leg attack set-ups and finishes will be taught thoroughly in an easy to understand manner.

• The primary focus, off bottom, will be on stand-up, the safest and most effective method of scoring from the bottom. Other escapes and mat wrestling will be covered as well.

• From the top position, we will teach a series of different rides, breakdowns and turns.

E N R O L L M E N T Youth Session is intended for beginner and intermediate youths entering grades K-8.

Elite Session is intended for advanced Middle School and experienced High School wrestlers.

Camp enrollment will be limited – to keep high instructor to camper ratios

R E G I S T R A T I O N The Creighton School of Wrestling camp fee is $175 / $275 per week for Youth or Elite wrestlers. The fee includes instruction and a camp t-shirt. The payment must accompany your applications forms. In addition, all attendees must have a current USA Wrestling athlete card (www.usawmembership.com for ~$40)

Applications received prior to May 15 receive a $30.00 discount off of the total.

Athletes that register for more than one week receive a $30.00 discount off of the total.

Refund Policy: Because of significant facility costs, we will only allow refunds up to May 1. No refunds subsequently.

T H I N G S T O B R I N G : To participate, each wrestler must provide:

• a copy of their USA Wrestling card (for insurance purposes)

• a copy of medical/health insurance

Wear wrestling shoes, compressions shorts, gym shorts, and a close-fitting t-shirt. Knee pads or sweat pants are suggested for sliding. (Head-gear is not required. Valuables should be left at home.) Wear clean clothes & shower daily.
