Here, the MBF foun-dation, “a social company for the handicapped in the Fricktal” recently inaugurated its new building: Mod-ern, simple architecture with clean lines, brightly lit workshops and a lavish company cafeteria for the workforce of more than one hun-dred. The MBF foundation is ISO-9001certifi ed and has the BSV-IV quality label. The carpenter’s shop is FSC certifi ed and complies with KPM 15 ISPM 15 directives. The company has the NPO label for management excellence. In short: the MBF foun-dation is a social institution that is available to business as a fully-fl edged market partner.

An extensive catalogue of jobs

In accordance with its charter, the MBF founda-tion offers people with a handicap appropriate jobs, occupation, training and residential place-ments. More than 90 people with a handicap use the residential facilities, a total of around 200 people working in different sections. The range extends from creative workshops for people with a severe handicap to training places for a federal EBA professional test. As a social com-pany recognized by the canton of Aargau, it has to comply with the conditions and directives of the Swiss Care Act. To implement all the de-mands and conditions and still provide a service tailored to the market requires a considerable degree of skill at all levels. To this end, business and group managers have attended supplemen-tary teacher training to add to their professional experience.

Tool management with removal systems and scanner solutions The Tool Box System is a modular system for controlled tool management. It provides tidy and safe tool storage, optimizes storage vol-umes, reduces storage costs, re-orders automati-cally and is available around the clock. Assembly technology: top performance with serviceThe assembly technology compe-tence centre clearly shows how much the requirements for tool pro-fessionals have changed: technical tool knowledge has become a core competence. Customers are think-ing increasingly in terms of com-plete processes and this is opening up a new tasks for full-range suppli-ers such as Brütsch/Rüegger Tools: tool labelling, fi lling of assembly sets to order, fi tting, servicing and upgrading complete tool sets in as-sembly vehicles, special foam inserts for tool drawers, etc. Brütsch/Rüeg-ger Tools is taking over multiple process steps up to and including the entire process, relieving the cus-tomers of laborious detail and coor-dination tasks.

The concept and how it works

Our customers describe to us all the tasks which their installation engineers carry out. This infor-mation is then used to create a specifi c tool re-quirement profi le. Brütsch/Rüegger Tools assem-bles a complete set of tools. These are ergonomically correct and technically matched to the task, of defi ned quality and in the pre-scribed sizes and weights. It must also be possi-ble to add to the set if it is found in practice that new tools are needed. The overall function is im-portant, so that the installation engineer can work at maximum effi ciency. The tools or brand names that are used to do this are of secondary importance. The concept is “great things in small packages”.

The concept as a processes Outsourcing individual processes and combin-ing them into overall processes with the sup-plier makes sense: instead of expensive orders for individual tools, there is simply one cata-logue number for the set. The Enorm mill for universal use, with inte-rior cooling, is available as a shaft cutter (BRW 221 160) and as a torus cutter (BRW 221 150). The universally stable ball cutter (BRW 221 600) is avail-able in diameters from 0.2 mm upwards.The multi-cut VHM carbide cutter (BRW 221 710) enables to you to achieve grinding quality. HSC cut-ters with the VHM carbide ball cutter (BRW

221 765) and the VHM torus carbide cutter (BRW 221 730) reduce polishing costs. The brand new Magafor Bi-Face forward and re-verse deburrer is the ideal tool for effi cient deburr-ing. These deburrers are available from stock in the 90° mini version (BRW 224 130), the 90° degree standard version (BRW 224 135) and the 60° stan-dard version (BRW 224 140). Effi cient deburring – Extended promotion

Improve tool durability –an easy achievement through better cooling and lubrication. The REGO-FIX type KS/ER cooling disc (BRW 339 240) features a peripheral coolant supply. This results in better chip removal and therefore noticeably greater durability. The universal cooling disc is compatible with all REGO-FIX collet chucks (BRW 339 000 and BRW 339 040) as well as the cor-responding clamping nuts (BRW 339 200).These are available from stock at BRW as usual.

Dixi VHM machine reamers

The new solinos single clamp for small parts from Gressel (BRW 413 370) is an ideal and cost-effective production solution. The solinos reveals its strengths whether used as a multi-point clamping system, on palette changers or to clamp tombstones. The com-pact, lightweight design (approx. 5.5 kg) with a relatively large clamping range of 0–156 mm (with VS jaw) and the high clamping force of up to 20 kN leaves little to be desired.
