Congratulations to Zoe Peters and Ashley Cooper (Captains), Bonnie Yarnold and Cooper Walsh (Vice Captains) and Tayla Bass and Mackenzie Neville (Prefects). We would like to say a huge thank you to our current school leaders on an outstand- ing job that they have done this year. Evening Of Celebration It was great to see so many family and friends attend our Evening of Cele- bration. Congratulations to all MPS students on receiving their awards. Students should be commended on their exceptional behaviour and amazing performances on stage. Well done everyone! PBL Movie Day On Friday students who have chosen to attend the PBL Movie day will trav- el to Goulburn by bus to see ‘The Grinch’. Students will need to bring their drink bottle. We hope they have a fantastic time! Lunch orders will still be available and will be ready for 1pm. Year 6 Farewell dinner & disco On Tuesday December 18, Year 6 will be having their Farewell dinner. Students from Year 6 are required to arrive at school at 4:45pm to begin their celebrations. All other students are to arrive by 5:45pm to form an arch to honour Year 6 into the disco which will conclude at 7:30pm. There will be sausage sizzles ($2) and poppers ($1) available to purchase. Seat belts on buses Very soon all buses will be fitted with seta belts and all students will be re- quired to buckle up!! Question: If seat belts are installed on buses, is it up to the passenger/ students whether or not they use them? Answer: NO. If seatbelts are fitted on the buses, the law says you “MUST BUCKLE UP”. Not using a seatbelt, properly adjusted and fastened, where there’s one installed could cost you or your parents a fine. Any passenger/students can be fined, and it’s you, not the bus driver, who’s responsible for making sure you’re wearing one. Do you let your children ride in your car without wearing a seat belt? In 2017, 37 per cent of people killed in crashes weren’t wearing a seatbelt, proof that the consequences can be deadly.
