Public School “Play the Game”

Week 9 Thursday 13th September, 2012
Last week the talents of our students and teachers were showcased at our School Concert, TURN
the PAGE. We have received numerous compliments from many proud parents, grandparents
and community members. Events like this are made possible because of the commitment, time
and effort of our teachers and support staff. More photos included in this newsletter.
Last week was SASS week and I would like to take this opportunity to thank our hard working
support staff Julie Cooper, Julie Baragry, Col Glacken, Tony Hage and Debbie Winner for their
efforts in supporting our staff and students every day of the year.
Last night the P&C held another successful Disco. We must thank our hardworking P&C committee
and staff who make these discos such a success. I know the children who attended had a
fantastic time. Don’t forget next week’s P&C meeting at 6.00pm on Wednesday 19th September.
NAPLAN
Year 3 & 5 NAPLAN results will be sent home next Monday 17th September. Please remember
these are only a record of what your child was able to do at the point in time (May) when they sat
the test. If you wish to discuss your child’s results and progress please contact the office to talk to
myself, or your child’s teacher. Your child’s teacher has a deeper understanding of what your
child understands across all Key Learning Areas.
