PRAYER TO THE HOLY SPIRIT
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful. And kindle in
them the fire of your love. Send forth your Spirit
and they shall be created. And you will renew the
face of the earth. Lord, by the light of the
Holy Spirit you have taught the hearts of your faithful. In the same Spirit help us to relish what is right and
always rejoice in your consolation. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

I used to pray that God would feed the hungry, or do this or that. But now I pray that He will guide me to do whatever I’m supposed to do, what I can do.
I used to pray for answers, but now I’m praying for strength.
I used to believe that prayer changes things, but now I know that prayer changes us, and we change things.

Second Collection: June 10-11, 2017
Next weekend marks the annual invitation for each of us to contribute to the Priest Retirement Fund for our priests in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. At all of our Masses next week we will ask that you and your families consider making a gift to this vital appeal.
The fund is currently providing 149 priests in our Archdiocese a monthly stipend for living and medical expenses so they may live humbly and with dignity in their retire-ment. All gifts are invested in the pension fund to be used exclusively to support our priests.
