Report cards for the 2nd Trimester will go home this
afternoon with your child. Please take a few mo-
ments to review your child’s progress. Optional
Parent/Teacher conferences are scheduled for Friday,
March 13, 2020. There is an 11:30 am dismissal on
this day to accommodate conferences. Please
contact your child’s teacher if you would like to have
a conference about your child’s academic progress.

Grammar Gurus

Southside Catholic Conference Recognition
Congratulations to Alicia Biel and Sebastian Talaga on being awarded the Christian Leadership Award from the SSC! Congratulations to Athena Doulas and Sebastian Talaga on being named
to the SSC All-Conference Team! We are so lucky to have these winners represent St. Patricia!
Daylight Savings Time
Spring Ahead! On Sunday, March 8, 2020, 2:00:00 am clocks
turned forward one hour. Sunrise and sunset will be about 1 hour later on March 8, 2020, than the day before. There will be more light in the evening.
Emergency School Closings
Please be aware that in the event that the school must close due to an
emergency you will be notified by SchoolMessenger either by phone call,
email, or text, possibly all three. We would also report to the Emergency
School Closings website. We are a E-learning school. This means that stu-
dents would complete work given by their teacher(s) either the day before
the known closing or on that day. A folder of work would be sent home with
the student and information of work would be available on the teacher’s
webpage. Teachers will be available from 9:00 am—3:00 pm for contact on
E-Learning days through email.

Lunch Supervisors Needed!
We are in need of volunteers for lunch duty on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for Kinder-
garten and 8th grade. We also need Lunch Supervisors for 2nd and 5th grades on Fridays. If

Boys Volleyball Practices begin this week and the season will begin on March 20th.
Soccer If you missed the deadline to register for co-ed soccer for this spring then you might be in luck. If your child is in 3rd-6th grade, then we still have roster spots available. Registration forms can be found in our E-Envelope and on the Athletics page of our school/parish website. There is a link to the registration forms on Mr. McGowan's teacher webpage as well. Please do not hesitate to turn your complet-ed forms with payment into the school of-fice! Once we have enough players for a roster, we will not be able to take additional players for that specific grade level(s). If you have any questions or concerns, please di-rect them to Jay McGowan ASAP at [email protected]. Thank you.
Boys Basketball Congratulations to all of our basketball players on a hard fought season!
Girls Volleyball Congratulations to our 6th grade girls on their big semi-final win and for making it to the chmapion-ship match of the Southside Catholic Conference! Good Luck Girls! Congratulations to all of our volleyball players on a hard fought season!
Track/Running Club
Track practices will begin again on Thursday, March 19th. Track is available to all students in grades 3rd-8th grade. Practices will always be right after school from 3-4 PM and on early dis-missal days, from 1-2 PM. Registration forms are available in the E-Envelope and on the Athletics page of our school website. If you registered your child in the middle of the fall season and your child has not received their track shirt, they will receive one for the spring. The last day to sign up and guarantee your child will re-ceive their shirt is Friday, March 13th. *Please make sure your child is prepared for po-tential cold weather on days there is practice.
Little Dribblers
The Little Dribblers camp is offered to boys and girls in grades 2nd & 3rd. The Little Dribblers camp will be held in April and the first session will begin the week we return from Easter break. Listed below are the tentative dates for the Little Dribblers camp. Register your kids to improve their basketball skills with Coach DJ!
